What a limp dick President Logan is. I wanted to feel sorry for him in this episode, but I really couldn't. He reminds me of the male characters in harem anime who are usually very indecisive and stay indecisive but eventually come through in the end. Except Logan doesn't. Logan needs to come clean and tell CTU what happened so they can perhaps salvage this debacle in some way.
Major general props to Aaron for kicking some ass and saving the motorcade this week. I really thought that was it for Aaron who other than Jack and Tony has been a mainstay every season.
Looks like Audrey isn't seeing everything as black and white as she used to and has been forced to break some rules. But its like Jack said in the first episode of season 2, you can't be afraid to get your hands dirty if you want results.
That said, Audrey has clearly become the show's new Michelle. Which sucks, because I love Michelle and I think it was retarded they killed her off. So I'm just like...they write out Michelle and replace her with Audrey, not cool.
Plus, Jack was recruited to CTU by f'n ROBOCOP! How can you NOT love that? Not only that, Robocop outsmarted Jack. And he easily tricked him! Robocop is evil! Jack why did you let him leave you in the room by yourself?!
I think Jack understands his former boss now after all that's happened to him in the last 2 seasons.
Either way, this was a GREAT episode after a rather week last few weeks for 24.
I know it would be really really cheezy, but if they had a shoot out between Jack and his ex-boss, and his ex-boss said "Dead or alive, you're coming with me" that would save this disappointing season for me.
Actually my favorite part of last night's episode was that F'd up VW commercial. "V Dub on an engineering tip yo." WTF? Did anyone catch the website at the end of the commercial? I want to watch that again but it's not on the main VW site.
'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' Diomedes, The Iliad of Homer
Pretty good episode, with some great moments. Not sure what the coolest thing was last night. Robocop punking Jack with the taser, Aaron Pierce blowing up the guy with the flamethrower, and Curtis putting the Hobbit in his place all were great. Logan asking Mike Novick to pray with him was pretty funny. Totally awkward. It's a shame that they've been rushing things this season and want to toss in a MAJOR TWIST every few episodes. Lynn snapping could've taken longer. Same goes for Jack rejoining CTU and the hunt for Palmer's killer. I think the writers blew their load there. That should've played out until at least halfway through the season, with Jack having to decide whether to save some lives or go off to catch Palmer's killer...

I prefer to think he was recruited by Buckaroo Banzai. Knowing now that Jack was a Hong Kong Cavalier makes me see his abilities in a whole new light. Now, if they'd only leave a random watermelon lying around somewhere.

Am I nuts or was that Abruzzi from Prison Break in that ad???

It's www.vwfeatures.com but there's no ad there (although there's a "virtual ride" demonstration featuring a lovely mdchen with an accent)

I thought he looked like one of the nihilists from The Big Lebowski.

Thanks! I never knew the German language could sound sexy. Ever. "Fast, faster! Mach schnell!!!" Last night on the shield they had another one of these with the dude and chick in white. This time the guy de-pimped the other guy's ride by hurling it with a white trebuchet. "German engineering in da house yaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh"

Peter Stormare (imdb.com) indeed played Abruzzi in Prison Break and a Nihilist in The Big Lebowski, so we're both making the same (mis-?)recognition. There's something on the imdb forums about the VW Commercial, but I'm not registered with imdb to be able to read it.
Just in reference to killing off Michelle, it was really the only choice they had. Both her and Palmer were really beloved by the fans, but both actors wanted to move on to other projects. As long as both those characters are alive, there's going to be a big cry to bring them back. Killing both of them off means that no one can bother the producers about that now, and they won't have to try to convince the actors to come back for a couple episodes every season.
