We start it of with TITUS WORLDWIIIIIIIIIDE. I'm loving Titus's red shirt, fedora, & sunglasses combo, and he's really making this character work. He runs into Daivari & Mustafa Ali backstage & proceeds to make both look like chumps (way to build your brand up there, 205 Live). The best thing about the segment is Daivari's shirt.
OK, today we have a signature Graves gingham shirt which isn't too offensive. Vic Joseph has a green checked tie which should be horrid but somehow kind of works.
Titus is out. I didn't notice the dad jeans with his outfit before, which 100% ruins the look. He proceeds to promo the Tozawa/Neville matchup in what is best described as "poor man's Paul Heyman" style. Neville interrupts & the segment's pretty much what you expect. I swear to God Neville's about a month away from proposing a stipulation match where the winner gets to eat the loser.
Titus hits the commentary table for Neville's match against Lince Dorado. Titus proceeds to bury Vic Joseph the whole segment which is utterly hilarious. Match is pretty much a squash, Neville hits a giant powerbomb into the rings of Saturn for the tapout.
Rich Swann - TJP(erkins) backstage promo. Oooh, we're getting a "friendly competition" between the two! Looks like Gulak isn't around to enforce a no-fly zone tonight!
Next up though is a Tony Nese-Jack Gallagher (w/ rainbow tights) match. Really cool little match with a bunch of spots we haven't seen before. Go watch it. Ending comes when Nese goes for his fake-the-injury trick again, but Gallagher doesn't fall for it & hits the concussion headbutt & corner dropkick for the three.
Post-match the Titantron hits & it's The Bryan Kendrick dressed as a combination of.... I'm going to say General Cornwallis & Raggedy Anne. He proceeds to put over the American Revolution & run down both Jackie G & Britain. The segment actually gets a half-hearted "USA" chant.
Arghhhhhhhhh - it's a review of the Cedric Alexander/Noam Dar match from last night followed by a Dar/Fox backstage promo. Why God Why? Noam's incredible paisley shirt manages to keep me from cancelling my Network subscription in protest.
Main event is here! Swann rocks an amazing red smoking jacket to the ring. 'Lil Naitch is working the match, which makes me think there's a screwy ending coming.
Story of the first part of the match is "TJP as conflicted heel" where he beats up Swann pretty much the whole time but doesn't seem to really have his heart in it. Second half is 50/50, both guys going for it. Swann gets the pinfall after a series of reversals, although TJP then goes for another hold in what I think was a slightly botched ending & not part of the story. We get a gentleman's handshake afterward, which I think is designed to complete TJP(erkins) face turn, & we're out.
Pretty good show. Really nice Nese/Gallagher match, and Swann/Perkins was good too. Titus & Kendrick were also fun segments. Only real drawback was the 2 minutes of Alexander/Dar/Fox. I'm swear I'm starting a tally of the time wasted on this angle, charging an hourly rate, and deducting it from my July WWE Network bill.
