Well, we've made it through another year of WWE pay per-views. And this year, with the re-addition of the brand split, WWE upped the number of special events from 12 to 15. In 2017, that number promises to rise higher.
And with those PPVs come PPV predictions. For the 12th year here at The-W, I've compiled the W-L record of everyone who made even one prediction in a PPV prediction thread. This past year's prediction thread ran from Fastlane 2016 to Royal Rumble 2017.
One thing you'll notice this year in looking at the results is that I scrapped the middle level that I've done in years past. With 15 PPVs, I combined everyone who predicted at least one more than half of the shows into level one (8-15). Level two now consists of 1-7 PPV predictions made. I may have to adjust again this next year, the first full year of the brand split.
Past winners of the PPV prediction contest include Alex, OMEGA, Big G, Torchslasher, kentish, Big Bad, saturn93, and andy1278. I don't remember a closer race to the top than the one we had this past year. I had to go to the second tiebreaker, total wins (first being number of PPVs predicted), to figure out the champion:
If you have any questions or see any possible mistakes, please PM me.
Total number of predictors for this year was 55, down from 67 last year.
Most guessed PPV? Fastlane and Wrestlemania, both at 36.
Least guessed PPVs were Battleground with 16, then No Mercy, Hell in a Cell, and Roadblock with 18. That's 11 fewer than the least-predicted PPV from two years ago, so numbers are dwindling just as the Raw ratings are.
The new PPV Prediction season begins with Elimination Chamber in just one week. Look for the Prediction thread to be up for that show on Monday or Tuesday. Tell a friend!

Usually when I wake up I am in a grumpy mood and today was no different.
Until I saw this!! Didn't expect to be top of the league so very pleasing. Couldn't have been a lot closer with hansen9j - must have been one of my random guesses expecting them to have unexpected winners for no real reason!
The most important thing is a big thank you to geemoney for doing all of this and keeping a record of it all. Always fun taking part and reading peoples predictions so thank you very much Sir.

Absolutely. I was delighted to see this thread pop up and always appreciate the work that goes into this.
I was also satisfied with my lackluster performance considering I felt like I'd done so much worse.

Agreed, thank you so much for doing this geemoney!
#6, my all-time personal best at these, and a huge jump from last year!
I'm glad to see I came in dead last with my year of trying to get every prediction wrong. I came a lot closer than I thought. Thanks geemoney, it's always fun!
It's the most important meal of the day.

(I think geemoney has been doing this since the board started but the year-end recaps only go back this far. We should probably send him a gift or something.)
They've been talking about an HBK comeback since his last match-- back at WrestleMania XIV. I, for one, don't think a full-time comeback is ever going to happen. If it were, it would have happened by now.
