Here's what I posted last year, but with this year's dates and Cavs seed...
All games on
1 GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS vs. 1 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS Game 1 - Thu. 9PM @GS Game 2 - Sun. 8PM @GS Game 3 - 6/8 9PM @CLE Game 4 - 6/10 9PM @CLE Game 5 * 6/13 9PM @GS Game 6 * 6/16 9PM @CLE Game 7 * 6/19 8PM @GS
* = if necessary All times are Eastern
I can't root against the Warriors, but that's not saying much since I think I've picked against the Cavs for a couple rounds now...
Warriors in 5.
(OK, I don't think I picked against the Cavs this year, but that prediction looks pretty good)
Can Cleveland seal the deal and bring home the Championship? Will the Warriors complete their historic season on top, or fall at the end like the 2007 Patriots?
I can't fault your prediction, because the Warriors are still the Warriors. The Cavs however are a vastly different team than last year when the top players in the Finals were James, Delly, and Mozgov. Now Delly plays sparingly, and Moz can't get off the bench. With both teams at full strength, I can just as easily see this series ranging from a 7-game series to a sweep in either direction. All depends on who gets hot when.
Cavs in 6. (Please? Pretty please?)

I can't stand Cleveland teams and I root against them at every opportunity. That being said, I think the Cavs win this in six games. Steph Curry is the best shooter I have seen in my life. He looks like Drazen Petrovic (RIP) in NBA Jam (1993) when he's on fire shooting the ball. Even though both Curry and Thompson are in range when they cross half-court I think the Cavs has a better roster 1-12 plus they have LeBron who is still the best player in the world.
Last year, the Cavs lost Kevin Love in the first round of the playoffs and Kyrie Irving in the overtime period of the Finals' Game 1, and still pushed the Warriors to 6.
This year, the Cavs have both Love and Irving healthy, and I think that makes all the difference. Cavs in 6.

Warriors in 6. Green not being suspended for game 7 continues my misplace belief some of this is rigged. Warriors are here ti he the '96 Bulls for the Millenials.
I may be in the minority, but I am sick of Steph. I don't think I can take another Steph title. I hope the Warriors get trounced. And I hope Steph falls flat on his face.
However, I know both are unlikely to happen. Still, a man can dream.
Cavs in 6.
Life is hilariously cruel.
It ain't the six minutes... it's what happens in that six minutes.

And rooting for Golden State is rooting for Draymond Green to flop-kick his way to the championship.

The Warriors have been creaming the Cavs so far.

I am definitely questioning their strategy of attacking Iggy's groin.

Today at the Blockbuster store where I work, we got in a new copy of NBA '06 for PSP, and Amare Stoudemire was on the cover. That just made me smile. Start of a new cover jinx? (Not that I believe in those sort of things, but I can't help it.)
