Tigers in 5 (Verlander makes the difference between two equally matched teams) Rays in 5 (The Cinderella story keeps going) Phils in 4 (They're just too good a team to beat right now) Brewers in 5 (Fielder will have a postseason to remember to conclude his career with Milwaukee)
Should be a great postseason to watch. For the first time in a long time, I don't see a 'weak' team (one that got in through smoke and mirrors) in the postseason. I can see any of these eight franchises having a good chance to go far.

A-Rod was hardly the only New York batter to stink it up this series. But, as usual, he'll shoulder all of the blame.
This will be quite a battle for pitching this offseason between New York and Boston. Sabathia will opt out of his deal but probably remain a Yankee, so at least the ace will stay. Besides him, you have a tentative rotation of Burnett/Nova/Garcia or Colon or Hughes, with room for bringing in a top-line guy via a trade or a signing (though CJ Wilson is the only really good free agent pitcher available).

I love baseball, but it seems very ridiculous to me that the teams (well, at least one team that I saw) are doing champagne showers over winning their first-round playoff series. I mean, jeez, guys, a little perspective here!
