Alabama losing is a surprise, but not outright stunning. Alabama giving up 35 points is shocking. When South Carolina gave up the safety to start the second half, I thought the steamroller was starting. LSU is now officially the king of screwball college football games. Either they are the luckiest team in years or they really are a team of destiny. When they face Auburn, just put 2 minutes on the clock and watch 54 weird things happen between the 2 teams. And, I thought the flip was a straight line, thus not a forward pass. History tells me Michigan State is going to implode. They just have to in order for the universe to be in order. TCU and Boise get some strength out of their mutual wins against Oregon State with State going on the road and knocking off a Top 10 Arizona team. Oregon State must have toughest SOS so far this season.
The old ball coach shocks the world and probably ends Alabama's run for a repeat. Michigan State brings the shoe in Heisman winner look mortal maybe even sub-mortal. For the SEC its up to Auburn and Les Miles to go to the title, I am sure that sends a cold shiver down some spines. Oregon State improved TCU and Boise's standings by beating Arizona. Notre Dame goes to 500 after once again letting a team hang around. PSU gets beaten soundly and the call for the end of Paterno will begin. Wisconsin is apparently a bunch of D-bags. Nebraska and Oklahoma are set-up for a Big 12 title game and more then likely a shot at the title. Oregon and Ohio State roll. At this point, the title game is up for grabs, let the chaos begin.
I'd love to see LSU completely luck their way into the National Championship game, but it'll probably never happen.
There's no way Oregon runs the table against the tough-as-nails Pac-10. I have a feeling Alabama runs the table the rest of the way, including complete and utter destruction in the SEC title game and they leap frog Boise St. to get back into the National Title game anyway, just to REALLY piss off the BCS haters.
We're flying a giant orange "CONAN" blimp over the baseball playoffs. Finally, subtlety in advertising. @ConanOBrien
If you really want fun, have Boise and/or TCU go unbeaten, but get leapfrogged by an unbeaten Big XII champ. Oregon has a loss, LSU or Auburn goes unbeaten in the SEC, while Ohio State and Michigan State both go unbeaten. Under that scenario, an unbeaten Michigan State doesn't go to the Rose Bowl while it is either TCU or Boise vs. Oregon. That might be the thing that causes complaints on all sides. And, I thought all the hype was The U was back. Think it was the 12th time The U was back in the last 5 years though.
I was glad to see my Auburn Tigers keep our undefeated season alive, but once again the defense scared the shit out of me. We have Arkansas next week, and I'm not sure if Arkansas is going to come apart against a top team like they did against Bama.
Also, how bout those Fighting Illini? Getting past Penn St. is a pretty big win for them.
TCU still has to play Utah which they could leapfrog Boise State. If a one loss SEC gets in while there are still two undefeated teams then the BCS is fucked. I just don't see that one loss team being Bama since their defense got exposed. The worst part for Bama is now there is a blueprint to beat them something that wasn't there before.
Originally posted by TheBucsFanI have no idea how that Florida State team got blown out by Oklahoma. They looked lethal last night.
They'll beat the Gators this year.
Young team, overconfident, playing in Norman. It happens.
I'm not betting on them to beat Urban until they actually do it. I'm more worried about that Thursday night NC State game actually. Hate the Thursday games.
Randy Shannon is a crap coach who Jimbo has owned the past few years. I was shocked at how well the D played but knew we could score on Randy.
He may have brought discipline to the Canes, but he's taken the swag out with it. That ain't Thug U anymore, in so many ways.
As for Illinois, I was kinda shocked to learn that Zook was still coach there. Figured he would have been fired by now. Guess he just bought himself another year.

If I'm not mistaken, I might be, but it appears that the ACC leads the way with FIVE teams on that top 25 list. Not just a basketball conference anymore Here is espn.com's poll by Ivan Maisel. 1. USC 2. LSU 3. Oklahoma 4. Georgia 5. Miami 6.
