I didn't see or hear anything today (Sunday) since I was out and about until very late. When I was finally on the road home, I threw on sports radio and during one of the score/news updates they mentioned these BCS standings. After they said Oklahoma was #1 I, for one of the first times ever, had my mouth agape in confusion for a good 15 minutes. It makes no damned sense at all.
Michigan against the SEC: 20-5-1 (7-3 in bowl games)

The SOS for the teams change every week so, if the favorites won out every week, there would be very different rankings from the computers for the last week.
Boise State probably gets jumped by the Utah/TCU winner, provided that winner runs the table the rest of the way. TCU/Utah are the non-major conference contender we should be thinking about possibly seeing in the national title game.

How does it make no sense? They have wins over two top 25 teams and are undefeated.

So does Michigan State or they beat a ranked Michigan team. I would think Wisconsin's win would help Sparty, a little more, but whatever. The fact that Alabama is even in the top 10 is amazing to me. I also agree with I think Craig James or Herbstreet that the Big 12 and SEC are getting better results due to their past. The Big 12 is not as good as it was last year and half of the SEC teams are terrible thus making the SEC average. I would put Wisconsin, Iowa and Utah as my final three and leave the rest as is. Alabama hasn't beaten anyone this year and after how bad they looked against Old Miss, they should be 11 or 12. The weird part is that most of the big schools are going to be cheering for the Irish if Utah beats TCU the week before they go to South Bend.

Right now, Michigan State has beaten 1 team in the BCS Top 25 in Wisconsin. Oklahoma has knocked off Florida State and Texas, who are both in the BCS Top 25. Missouri this week will also help strengthen Oklahoma. Whoever wins the Wacky Bowl between Auburn/LSU might go flying up the rankings, and I'll go out on a limb that it won't be the 7-3 Death Fight it was a few years ago. Why Ohio State is ahead of Wisconsin could be deemed questionable, as Wisconsin's lone loss is to an unbeaten team, while Ohio State's lone loss is to a 1 loss Wisconsin. All things being equal, better chance that the winner of TCU/Utah plays in the BCS Title game unbeaten than an unbeaten Boise. If the computers hate Boise already, they really will hate them by the end of the year, especially should Va. Tech not win out. Better chance of a 1 loss team beating any of them out from the Big Ten/Big XII/SEC though.

Missouri this week will also help strengthen Oklahoma.
Or perhaps Oklahoma will help strengthen Missouri?;)
These really only matter until there is a week or two left in the season, and even then only if there are either more than two or less than two undefeated teams left, or if there are two undefeated teams but one is a non-AQ team. All of these undefeated teams will sort themselves out over the next few weeks.

I would guess it is because they beat Portland State (2-4, also FCS), Washington State (1-6), and New Mexico (0-6). LSU beat North Carolina (4-2) and West Virginia (5-1) and Oklahoma beat Florida State (6-1) and Air Force (5-2). Oregon's schedule so far isn't helping them in the computers.

Yeah, Colley puts Oregon's SOS so far at 113th, way behind Boise State and TCU, and just slightly ahead of Utah and Nevada. And notice that several wins are blowouts, and the BCS Computer Rankings are forbidden from considering margin of victory. Sagarin likes them, even his ELO-CHESS rating that doesn't take margin of victory into account has them 2nd. I think that's because ELO-CHESS believes Stanford is the 5th best team in the country and Arizona State is the 26th best. The other BCS rankings (and the pollsters) disagree.
