Lakers win series over Suns (4-2)

Celtics win series over Magic (4-3)

Going with Boston vs L.A. in the finals based on experience.

Well I will say the Lakers win in 6 games (though I am cheering for Phoenix in this series) while Orlando loses a couple games in this series but pulls through in 6 also. Rematch for the Finals.

Predictions? The Lakers spend more money in Phoenix than a certain someone would like them to (LA Weekly).

(less important: Suns 7/Magic 5/Suns 6)

I'm rooting for Phoenix vs. Orlando.

Buuuuuuut, we'll end up with Boston vs. Los Angeles. The NBA, where new blood never winning titles happens!

Miami won the title over Dallas in 2006.

Is a rejuvenated Boston Celtics team the favorites now? They hand Orlando their first post-season loss and dispatched the Cavs in the semi's.

I still think Orlando is going to win but the "aging" Celtics have turned back the clock a couple years and here we are Boston and Orlando fighting to go back to the Finals (it also helps that the C's are healed from constant injuries during the regular season so you also have a fresher Celtics team).

Now hopefully Phoenix can do their part.....

Give credit to the Celtics.....they did take home-court from Orlando and now have a serious 2-0 series lead (and 94% of teams that have had a 2-0 series lead have won the series).

Orlando better do something or they will be quickly eliminated by a rejuvenated and determined Celtics team. Now the C's were dubbed as "the worst 50 win ball club in NBA history" but now they may be the best ball club ever with a 50 win season.

That Bos/Orl was like watching Rockm Sockem Robots tonight. Vince Carter blows another game, and what was J.J. thinking. Boston up 2-0 and has two home games coming up. Orl. on life support now.

Right now, it is shaping up to be a rematch from the 2008 NBA Finals with Boston and LA in the driver's seat.

I still have a little belief in comebacks.. technically Orlando has home court advantage again now, of course being down 3-1 won't help, but I think they are a team that can beat Boston in 3 straight.

Lakers will probably beat Phoenix now but I hope it's an interesting series.

They do not. Orlando still has to win one game in Boston.

My schadenfreude-meter is starting to root for two Boston teams to blow a 3-0 lead.

They have 2 games in Orlando and 1 in Boston.. technically that is home court advantage if you throw out the 3-1 lead obviously.

Were you offline because you were brain-injured?

"Home court advantage" means you don't HAVE to win on the other's team's floor/ice/turf/field. Four out of seven at home - win 'em all and you advance. That's why it's an ADVANTAGE.

If Orlando wins their two home games, they STILL have to win in Boston. That's not home court advantage, no matter how you slice it.

Seriously, the only thing weirder than some of the stuff you say is what you say after someone points out how wrong you were.

That's like "it's very sunny outside, if you throw out the clouds and the rain that is falling right now, obviously." The 3-1 deficit is kind of an unavoidable fact.

Part of me thinks the Celtics was just jobbing to do the NBA a favour, since otherwise, the playoffs will lose a lot of momentum if the Finals don't start until June 3. Shouldn't take more than one more game for Boston to put Orlando away.

Well I am recovering from semi-serious surgery and on lots of meds, that might explain it.

My point was simply that Orlando has more home games left than Orlando. It came out wrong, but that was my point. They can win out at home and just need to take one in Boston. Not totally impossible.

Phoenix just tied the series at 2-2 now.

Gonzaga has no one to blame but themselves. They did not come prepared to play and paid for it. Wyoming had just as much time to prepare as they did.
