So I imported The Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto (The Wind Waker), and it is simply amazing. I had my doubts about the graphics, but after playing for the last few hours I can honestly say this game is awesome. Even though I have a very limited understanding of what's going on, the emotions the characters show in their facial expressions and movements is stunning. I was truely moved watching a few of the cutscenes, and laughed out loud at others. The graphics really do their job well.

I thought the music in SSBM and Metroid was good, but Wind Waker has some really amazing tunes. A lot of the songs sound very reminiscent of older Zelda songs too. I've gotta get a CD of this music or find someone who ripped the soundtrack right away. Link's also a lot more agile than I remember. He's got moves on top of moves. Dodges, backflips, dashes, and sword strikes a plenty, he's a lean, green, Moblin killing machine.

My only gripe? They replaced the Cukoo's. Zelda's famous chickens have been replaced with wild pigs... =(

Dude, thanks a lot for posting that! I heard about the release of Zelda in Japan today and was sitting here at work thinking, "I sure wish I could find an English review of it so I can get pumped." Lo and behold, it's here at Wienerville. Thanks again.

You didn't, by any chance, get the "Link to the Past"/"Ura Zelda" combo as well did you?

After weeks of rumors, it looks like said "Ocarina of Time/Ocarina of Time: Master Quest" disc will hit the states February 17 (Six weeks before "tLoZ: The Wind Waker").

Someone at ebgames.com posted the offer on the the "Wind Waker" pre-order page a few days ago, but it was removed. I checked again last night, and a full update has been made to the page. The disc will ship Feb. 17 for an extra $5 or along with your "Wind Waker" disc for no extra charge.

I got my N64 late and my "tLoZ: Major's Mask" cheap, so I never played the original Ocarina of Time. I am looking VERY forward to this re-release for the 'Cube, as well as the "Master Quest" (previously known as "Ura Zelda"), which is said to be like the second quest was to the original "Legend of Zelda." Plus, I get 6 weeks to beat them before "Wind Waker" comes out.

Can anyone tell me about "Four Swords," the 4-player quest that seems to run on the same engine as "A Link to the Past" (and is part of that cart)? I have been considering grabbing a GBA, but RUMORS that Nintendo might release an update with better lighting and battery options has kept me from making the plunge. With the "Oracle" games, the "Pokemon" series, and "Metroid: Fusion" in the library, it's geting tempting.

Yes, I did. I haven't really played it all that much, I can't tear away from Wind Waker long enough to do much other than play Animal Crossing for 15 minutes. Not to mention it's finals week. -_-;; The graphics are a little better, the only graphical difference is that it's in a higher resolution than the N64 version.
