It's now the last 20 tagged threads with new posts instead of the last 20 tagged posts. Please respond with

"I like it more this way"

or

"I liked it more the other way"

and if you don't care either way or try to ignore them in any case, please feel free to find some other thread to post in.

I do like it more this way. I like just seeing the thread icons and being able to see how many posts are on each one. Sometimes if two threads were started right around each other with the same icon I would miss the newer thread, thinking that it was just a post from the previous one. Anyway, it's cleaner and more streamlined, I think.

I like it more this way

Ken Kennedy debuted a new finisher: Jeff Hardy fans will insist on calling it the Swanton Bomb, but it looks WAY more devastating when not performed by a 180-pound fruitcake.

I like it more this way; so much so that I might actually start using it.

I kinda liked it the other way, because if there was, say, ten New York Yankees icons in a row up there, then I would know something kind of big happened.

I liked it better the other way - gave me more of an idea as to what the hot topic was that people were responding to. Last 20 tagged threads probably goes back well into yesterday since I see an "Office" icon up there

I like the new Zeitgeist better, but maybe the number in the tooltip could be the number of *new* posts instead of the total post count of the thread.-- Or you could cut it down to 15 threads and add the new post count to the right in small print. That could help JJD still detect that the Yanks did something big.

I prefer it this way. While it was interesting to see the critical mass aspect at times, I think this gives a better overall picture of what the community is discussing at this time.

I prefer it this way for the same reasons SPF cited. Especially since there are certain topics which can hit "critical mass" that I don't really care all that much about. I'm certainly not discounting the merit of any discussions, as I'm sure someone who came to the site who wasn't necessarily a wrestling fan and saw nothing but a row of "RAW" icons would have the same reaction.

This won't be done because it would involve too much overhead. Adding the total number of posts is negligible; trying to figure out if any are new or not is far from negligible. Plus, since this is just a frill anyway I'm not going to bother with writing different code depending on whether it's someone logged in or not.

I like it this way for the same reason JJD liked it the other way. This way I can see a variety of tagged subjects and not just 87 "Lost" tags - as it appears I am the only one in the free world who does not watch that show.

I don't watch LOST, either, but that's beside the point.

I like it the new way...half the time after a wrestling show, there entire row is filled with Raw or Smackdown symbols, so this works quite nicely.

I like it this way. Since it didn't affect the Zeitgeist page, it's like having two useful tools.

I suppose you could always have two Zeitgeist rows on the front page, one the new way and one the old...

I also like it this way...the few times I manage to actually find my way to the front page, it's a handy tool, but for the most part, to find out what's most recent, I have the Threads updated in the past 24 hours (I think thats what it's called) link set in my favorites.

For what it's worth, I think it would be cool to add the little Icon thingy for that page too, then for some of the posts, you can have an idea of what it refers to (tv shows and the like) before clicking the link).

(11.6.06) I noticed the day after I suggested this that the little icon thingys I had referred too are now on the Threads updated in the last 24 hours page...looks good.

Maybe we need an announcement or an official proclamation that says that all discussions regarding each week's W (The W) will be in CRZ's World. At the very least, it will take down that New Server Coming message before it gets too old.
