I just tried to upload some videos to YouTube for the first time.

I uploaded three videos, all 10 seconds in length. Two were .mov files, one was .avi.

It tells me they were uploaded completely, and will appear under MyVideos once they finish processing.

It's been more about 18 hours since I uploaded those videos, and they're not showing up at all.

Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help at all?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure. I uploaded a pile of videos last night (DivX-encoded .avi files, all ranging from two to five minutes in length) and they showed up in My Videos after about 10 minutes apiece. It could just be that their servers are busier during prime (North American) daytime hours - I was doing most of my uploading around 1:00 a.m.

In an unrelated note, vixy.net is a neat way to convert and download YouTube videos, even if you have to try and try and try again to get it to work properly. If anyone knows of a download/conversion utility that works more effectively, I'd like to know about it.

Thanks for the hookup! I tested Vixy out on a 6 second YouTube video and it worked like a charm. I'll try out some bigger ones when I get home.

I am using the answer to this question:

The first answer is what I use and it works perfectly.

I'm looking at dial-up services for my mother-in-law. They don't use the 'net for much, so even the extra $10/month for DSL isn't really worth it for them. Most of the services I found are around the $9.95/month ballpark. My question is this:
