So apparently buying a company with boatloads of debt while putting a drunken carnie with a half assed wrestling company that is more heavily involved in a gold pyramid scheme who was most recently seen throwing tacos into a crowd of Mexican wrestling fans in charge is a really bad idea. Anthem apparently already wants out of the wrestling business or at least this wrestling business which raises all kinds of questions depending on where you want to start.
I know they tried to run a show up here in Connecticut, but it was the same day NEW was running Cody vs Dijak in what was Dijak's last NEW appearance, and quietly cancelled the whole thing.
I guess my next question is how are there still people out there that think this thing is going to work?
They really are going to struggle to keep going, and with this information getting out why would anyone want to come in and invest? Maybe they should have taken Corgans money and plans - at least he cared and wanted to do it which might have ended differently.
Selling the tape library to Vince would probably be a sensible option and let someone start afresh on a sensible budget. Could be a win win. Maybe someone could give ROH more money which would get them more exposure but that would be a big gamble.
Well, only only one other North American title holder, Seiji Sakaguchi, who defended the title in Japan for apparently 18 months, is listed. If you asked the WWE about him (assuming they cared, which they don't)
