So does Parcells bring in a name coach (Cowher? Billick?) or poach someone from the Cowboys' staff (Garrett or Sparano)?

Or more likely, does Parcells bring in a certain oversized Tuna?

By the by, somehow I forgot Baltimore. So yeah. Baltimore is looking for a new head coach too.

Dallas asst. coach Tony Sparano is the frontrunner for the Fins gig (star-telegram.com) (barring the chance of their mandatory minority interviewee [whom they haven't interviewed yet] so impressing them that they change their plans, I'm sure, ah ah ah sigh).

Even before this weekend came, SOMEONE thought it was a good idea to give A.J. Smith...cough...AN EXTENSION!

SAN DIEGO -- After building the San Diego Chargers into a consistent playoff contender -- if not yet a postseason success -- general manager A.J. Smith received a five-year contract extension Tuesday that will keep him with the team through 2014.

Details weren't announced, but various reports said the extension was worth $11 million.

This move would have been SO much funnier had San Diego lost to Tennessee.

I'm trying to figure out how two players, with two different college backgrounds, coming from two different pro teams, with two different levels of success and experience, have enough in common with each other to merit being called a "WR/QB combo.
