Street Date November 1:
-WM 1-21 box set will retail for $299.95 and will include special trading cards and such.
-WM 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20 box sets will retail for $69.95 each.
-WWE Legends: Jake "The Snake" Roberts will retail for $34.95

Street Date November 15:
-Screwed: The Bret Hart Story will retail for $34.95.

---

While bringing back the boxed sets sounds good on paper, with all the editing, cutting, and blurring, I think I'll think I'll just hang onto my old Coliseum tapes.
The highly-anticipated Bret DVD already has a space reserved under my tree...
As for Mr. Roberts, we'll have to wait and see if it's the same ol', same ol' drug story.

*gasp* Well, it's about bloody time! I know what I'm asking Santa for this year.

And while the blurring will naturally be annoying, it'll only be applicable to WrestleManias 15-18, so ain't no thing. More annoying will be the white-noising out of all the "WWF" references. But again, I've got Match Jukebox, so I'm used to it.

Bring it on~!

I agree with what Juggalo's saying about the WM set -- it will probably be so watered down, that the originals may be preferably.

That said.... it may be worth them eventually selling all of the WrestleManias as individuals (not right away, mind you, but say sometime next year) for those who just want to pick up one here or two there....

I'm happy to see that Bret and Jake will get the DVD treatment, but what about Piper already? Especially now that he's back in the fold as a "Legend". I think that has the potential to be the next big seller...

I'll definitely pick up the first 10 on DVD. I've been wanting to watch Macho Man/Warrior again for a long time.

That's just not cool and I hope they really do not go through with having "Screwed" be the title of the DVD. This was a video I was really looking forward to getting (as I am sure there would be a lot of Hart Foundation/Demolition matches) and if this is the title, well, I am not so sure I'd be ready to spend my money on it just out of fear for what the whole DVD will be about.

There's a million other titles they could have given this that the video deserves to have that doesn't broadstroke everything Bret Hart did in such a negative light and respectfully reflects on his accomplishments. Hopefully "Screwed" is just a working title and not the official one. AND at $34.95, I would imagine 3-discs, which would be awesome.

The Jake "The Snake" DVD is a pleasant surprise. If they jam it with promos and Snake Pit segments, I'm already the first in line. Also $35? Hopefully that price follows the 3-disc suit, too.

They gave Piper space on the Legends of the 80's DVD, so a specific DVD for him probably won't be coming out soon. Also, if they aren't going to show Mania matches, there really aren't many Piper matches from the WWF to show, especially from the mid 80's.
As for Jake: If they have Mid-South footage available, I'm interested. If not, I'll pass.
I guess this means no Four Horsemen DVD for the '05 Holiday season.

Well, if they do a WM box set, I don't think they will edit Ventura's commentary. It's impossible. They'll probably pay the royalties.

I would so love to purchase the Wrestlemania set but if the events are edited, themes overdubbed and commentary editied with no Ventura or "wwf" than I think I will pass. If I am going to spend that much on a boxed set, I wanna hear "Born in the USA" when the US Express Come out and "Eye of the Tiger" when Hogan comes out at WM1. I want to hear the word WWF, especially WM4 with the tournament. I want Ventura's commentating and no blurring. Alas though, its not Burger King and I can't have it my way. I may just keep recording the live broadcasts the night of the events if this set is watered down.

Despite the curious title, I hope this is the Bret Hart DVD we've waited years for and all want to see. I also hope he had involvement with it and got to pick the matches himself.

I also hope there are some matches that are hard to find and or that we haven't seen before on it. Like some matches that weren't on the big PPV's.

Regarding the Mania titles, over here they already have WM 1-6, completely unedited, WWF left in, its the exact same versions released on Coliseuem years ago. They will have WM 7 & 8 coming out very soon which Im looking to pick up.

Regarding the Bret DVD it would seem from the title that it will just have a documentary of Montreal and a couple of matches and thats it. If they wanted to make a Best Of DVD they would have called it ''The Ultimate Bret Hart Collection'' or something better then ''Screwed''. Maybe they are going to wait for the Best Of DVD until Bret himself joins the project.

Didn't Coliseum Video though have a reputation for editing matches and cutting segments out that aired on the PPV? For example, WM5, Haku is introduced as King Tonga on the live PPV but on the Coliseum Video version, its fixed to Haku. Also, Sherri Martel has an interview segment on WM5 before the Hart Foundation/HTM & Valentine tag match on the live ppv but on Coliseum Video, its cut out.

Also, on the live PPV on WM6, the opening match between Koko B. Ware and Rick Martel was about 10mins and on the Coliseum Video version, its edited down to like two minutes.

On the WM5 Coliseum Video tape, go back and watch Mr. Perfect vs Blue Blazer. On that tape, there is a spot in the match where the Blazer misses off the top rope and is down and then you can tell the tape is cut because the Blazer is back in control of the match.

Well i don't have them PPVs yet but it sure beats having WWF taken out and commentary taken out and whatever else WWE can't put in.

Whatīs your source? I couldnīt find anything about this anywhere else!

By the way: Does anyone have a complete list of all upcoming WWE DVDs?

First rumors where: Ultimate Warrior and a Legends 2 title (similar to the 80s DVD) in Sept., ECWs greatest matches in Jan. and a Screwed Bret Hart DVD someday in 2006.

Then PWInsider changed that to: Warrior and Greatest ladder matches in Sept., Triple H and ECW in Nov. and no date for Bret Hart.

Then the Observer said: Warrior, Kurt Angle, History of the championship!?

And now this?

I have to say Iīm a little bit confused!

I'm very wary of buying the wrestlemania box set for these reasons

1. Jesse Ventura's Voice Edited Out? (WM 1-6)
2. The phrase "WWF" edited along with that particular frame being edited as well.
3. WWF Blurring (Attitude Era WM 14-18)

I'm sorry but I just can't stand the blurring. This is because it's a major distraction and it takes away from the fun of the matches. Also, the concept of Jesse Ventura's voice being edited out is just ridiculous. I will not purchase this product if these things are in the wrestlemania set. WWE needs to compromise with the World Wildlife Fund so they will be able to show the matches "as is." Also, pay for Jesse Ventura's royalities fee. Otherwise, I'm happy with my WWF Coliseum Home Video Wrestlemania Set.

Or, perhaps Vince is one of the un-named people in the BALCO probe. You don't think the feds would mind getting a second shot at Vinnie Mac, do you?
