Those guys all take up the middle, but the Pats haven't had a deep threat since Moss checked out. Lloyd can be that deep threat kind of guy.

With all of those weapons at his disposal, Brady's going to challenge the passing record that Brees just set. Unless, of course, the Pats run into Bernard Pollard. Then all bets are off.

Mario Manningham signs with the 49ers.

Scenario A - Peyton Manning signs - Manningham sees single coverage all year as Davis and Moss garner double coverage and Manningham has a very solid year.

Scenario B - Peyton Manning signs elsewhere - Manningham learns what it is like going from a strong armed QB who can make a tough throw under pressure (Eli) to an extremely average QB (Alex Smith) and sets career lows for catches, yards and TD and regrets leaving NY.

I lean toward Scenario B with Peyton signing in Tennessee (although I remain adamant that Houston is cutting off its nose to spite its face by not signing him).

Life is hilariously cruel.

The Patriots usually play the Bills twice a season. Depending on the draft, those two games may turn out quite different than what they have been over the last few years.

What a steal. 3 years for 12 million. Washington just paid Pierre Garcon 5 year 42 million deal. I'd take Lloyd over Garcon all day long and at that price forget about it.

I know Lloyd wanted to be back with McDanials, and playing for the Pats is something players want to do, but what a freaking bargain even if this bombs it's not a killer to their cap.

Matt Flynn to Seattle. 3 years, $26 million. That seems like a fair compromise for a guy who has 132 attempts in his career. If he does well, he'll quickly be renegotiated. If not, he can be cut without too much trouble. I sure thought he'd get a bigger contract than that though.

Poor Miami. I guess they're going to go all in for Alex Smith, OR let Matt Moore be the man.

Miami might also have a shot at Hasselbeck, should Manning sign with the Titans.

As a person who was hoping to sneakily hang on to Bush if he went to a team where he'd be a #1 back, I'm also disappointed! (Also, it's a strange year where both he and Hillis end up as a #2 backs than starting anywhere; maybe a reevaluation of RB value?)

As someone who pays attention to the Bears, I like this move as Forte insurance - a hold out was possible before the move - and as someone who could help them at the goal line. It's nice they've improved their QB & RB depth, but it does seem odd they haven't improved much on the OL or other starting spots.

They did make a slight upgrade at WR ;)

Anytime you can get the #3 WR from a mediocre offense, you have to do it.

Jeff Saturday to the Packers, not the Broncos.

[sarcasm]Boy, that Manning guy sure is bringing people to Denver with him. [/sarcasm]

ETA - Best summary I've seen so far:

Packers sign Saturday on Friday to play on Sunday, Monday and perhaps Wednesday and Thursday. Film at 11.

I believe the Broncos have a young center named J.D. Walton that they are completely happy with even if he does have the unfortunate habit of snapping the ball to Brady Quinn in practice. http://www.theonion.com/articles/broncos-center-apologizes-to-team-after-accidental,21074/

I heard them on my way home last night from work. I will say that it was odd to hear Marv Albert doing football, but I think they made a good combination.
