This is boring, nothing happening. Ric Bucher and Chris Broussard are saying the same thing over and over. Somebody got to make a move soon?

And just think, this is what they'll be doing until the 7th, when teams can actually sign players. Oh boy.

What's happening here? Just a few days ago, everyone was talking about Wade, LeBron, and Bosh going to Miami.

Now apparently, Wade's leaning towards Chicago!

Just the fact that Wade's having a second interview with them has to have Miami biting their nails to the bone.

Perhaps it was the Noid who should have avoided me.

Today's Fun Conspiracy Theory, As Cribbed From Some Dude On ESPN: Wade's going back to Miami, everyone knows he's going back there, but he's interviewing with all these other teams to waste their time and screw them over in the free agency recruiting process... in order to help Miami even more.

Someone actually got paid to seriously say this.

I think now we know what LeBron, Wade and Bosh were talking about at their 'summit' - "lets see how much we can screw with people's minds before we all sign with our old team for max money, max years".

The only questions are:

A) Is James serious about going all-out for the rings, and will he give up his max salary to switch teams without weakening the roster at his landing place?

and B) Can anyone work out the right combination to get a sign & trade that will acquire either of the other two? (or possibly Boozer or David Lee?)

Well, after how long this circus has gone, OF COURSE LeBron's going to announce his decision on primetime television

ESPN is reporting that LeBron James will announce his NBA plans on its network Thursday night at 9 p.m. in an hourlong special.

ESPN’s Chris Broussard is reporting Tuesday night that James’ “representatives” contacted the network and asked for the unusual arrangement. Broussard reports ESPN officials confirmed the request but added the network was not told what James’ decision will be.

Ok, now it's gone overboard. I mean, seriously? Is hijacking an hour of television REALLY necessary?

It should have been a one-hour "What Up With That?" where DeAndre never lets LeBron get his answer out. (With apologies to Lindsey Buckingham, naturally.)

It's only an hour of ESPN. Can't be worth much; I've seen some of the yakfests they air these days.

We should also mention that this new LeBron is on Twitter as well - follow @KingJames...if you dare...

I can understand where some people are annoyed with this hour special, but really:

1.) Is there really anything else on? Working at the sports bar, I was forced to put on the WNBA because we didn't have anything else sports- related that was live. At least you know the sheep will check this out.

2.) Speaking of sheep, they have been following the whims of LeBron for weeks now, if not months. What's another 60 minutes?

3.) Just be thankful it's not a Brat Farve special. It would be nothing but a full hour of him pulling off petals of a daisy saying "I'm retired, I'm retired not".

That said, I can't wait for this story to finally end. Way too long to decide where Lebron goes to lose to Dwight Howard in the playoffs again.

Oh, and once this is over, will someone slap Stephen A. Smith and/or his 'sources' for me? LeBron, Bosh, & Wade in Miami, my ass.

And now the report is Wade and Bosh to Miami..

Now the theory is that LeBron may go to New York to team up with Stoudemire as a result. Wake me when it's over, 'cause I'm so tired of hearing about this already.

The wife is going to watch Warehouse 13 at some point this evening, so I might catch the end. I wonder if they are going to simulcast people in sports bars in Chicago, Cleveland, New York and the other cities for their reaction? Its nice he is using the sponsorship money to go to the Boys and Girls Club, damn after the money he gets tonight, couldn't he fund that himself for the next 100 years? As long as most of this over by tonight then we can move on to somewhat caring about the All Star Game and then finally, the Hall of Fame Game in Canton. Football can not get here soon enough.

And now ESPN's saying that he's going to announce his decision sometime within the first 10 minutes of the press conference. So what the hell's he going to do for the other 50 minutes? Talk about a steep decrease in viewership once the announcement's made.

By the way, the Miami Heat are already taking pre-orders on their "new superstar" acquisition.

Screw that, can I just get the nifty Heat jersey with no name and a question-mark instead? If it was for a different team, like the Celtics or the Bucks, for example, it'd totally look like something The Riddler would wear.

Heat ? Jersey

In other news, the way the Miami Heat always insist on referring to themselves as the "Miami HEAT" on their webpage is almost as pretentious as Buckeyes fans saying "THE! Ohio State University." (But not quite.)

Well, if ESPN holds true to their pattern...

6:00-6:10 LeBron makes annoncement
6:10-6:20 LeBron talks about why he decided to leave/stay
6:20-6:30 LeBron talks about how he plans to win this season
6:30-7:00 Pointless analysis

You forgot an important part of the schedule, especially if LeBron leaves (and especially if he goes to Miami):

6:11 LeBron is burned in effigy in Cleveland

At the halfway mark, LeBron's mom gets a segment where she sets up a date to 'interview' new talent in the city LeBron lands in.

I don't know. Given it's ESPN, they've got to fit in

- video package of LeBron highlights (hopefully with more Christ like poses to underscore the importance of this decision)
- Stuart Scott setting the scene
- shots of people in bars in the affected towns watching, if they can find people, ending with a shot of LeBron getting ready for his sit down interview with Jim Gray
- panelists discuss the situation; Chris Broussard prominently involved, everyone doing their best to make it seem as if it's still a mystery
- quick on location bits from reports in Cleveland, Miami, New York and Chicago
- brief discussion of the backlash, with all agreeing LeBron is awesome, ESPN made the right move going along with this, and everyone else is just a hater
- back to the panelists to make their picks
- panelists make their picks

That doesn't leave a lot of time for a long commercial break if they're going to actually make the announcement 10 minutes in.

Welp...

Ok, everyone's got the right to slap me now. Never thought that would actually happen.

Hope LeBron got some beffy bodyguards when he goes back to Ohio. That said, you can't blame him for choosing a team bulit for winning championships. I still think Orlando is going to give them some headaches along the way for the next couple of years though.
