Gotta see what happens when (if?) the Rockies actually LOSE a game. It really doesn't matter to me who wins in the end, so lets go for what would probably wind up being the best run ever to win a championship. Rockies in 5.

For reasons of creative incompetence, this space will be left blank. Advertising opportunities are avaliable though!!! Contact (Number removed due to pending litigation) for details!

Too bad Beckett and Schilling are 0 - 2 this year against the Rockies and the Rockies hitters have a .368 career average against them. Rockies in 6.

I really think the Red Sox will overwhelm the Rockies' pitching staff. Beckett and Schilling may not have great career numbers against Colorado, but this is Playoff Beckett and Playoff Schilling. Those are different animals.

Sox in 5. I'm thinking the inexperienced Rockies fall apart in the big dance, just like the Tigers did last year. Not to mention that the Sox are surging right now, scoring nearly 30 runs in the last three games.

Really want to see the Rockies beat the Sox, but I just can't see it. That lineup, with Pedroia and Youkalis leading things off and Ortiz and Manny in the middle has come around after a slow start and I think they rip the hide off the ball.

Sox in 6

Nothing against the Red Sox, but I'd like Colorado to win so that it'll be eight straight years with eight different World Series champions.

For some reason, I think that's pretty cool.

I'll be the first to say (hope for) a seven-game series. It's been since, what, 2001? ARI vs. NYY I think went seven. The rest have been quite unentertaining. But with the Colorado weather lately, it may take two weeks to play seven games in between snow storms. I'd really have to dig into the archives to see the last time a WS game was ppd. due to snow.

And the Yanks going 6-0 against Cleveland in the regular season helped them so much in the ALDS.

Boston in 6.

So you're comparing the team that has been the biggest choke artists in sports for at least the past four years to the team that is having one of the best runs in history? Not a very good argument.

Let's not forget there is no DH in Colorado. Ortiz will start at first leaving Youklis without a position. If they play him somewhere else then their defense is going to pretty horrid at three positions.

The Rockies on the other hand get to have their regular lineup at home and can add Ryan Spilborghs (he actually has better numbers than their starter Taveras) in Boston.

It looks like Tim Wakefield's out for the World Series with that bad shoulder. This means Jon Lester will probably get the Game 4 start at Coors, I reckon.
