That Reach commercial made me so thirsty, I wish I were drinking a Reach Strawberry Mango (or a Peach!) right now. What? I don't have a metagene for the Reach to weaponize. Oh, Oh! Consumption of Reach over the generations will make humanity placid and incapable of revolt. Well, whatever.
Green Beetle really grew on me. English can be confusing too.
"All cards off the table." "On the table." "On the table? Yes, that does make more sense."
Heavy Artemis/Tigress episode this week, although with a major flaw, which is how much incriminating voice over narration she was doing while Psimon was in the room. Psimon should have been able to read her mind, though she was pretty clever in paralyzing him. Actually, Artigress was pretty clever the whole episode; her gambit to "kidnapp" Miss Martian without Deathstroke being any the wiser worked. She seems to have Black Manta's trust, and she found Aqualad while she and Miss Mopey were in his mind and brought him back on the road to recovery while M'Gann was getting water boarded by Dream Tula.
After a pretty good superfight with Deathstroke that got Lagoon Boy's leg bashed in, Nightwing revealed the Aqualad deep cover gambit to him. Then Superboy reamed Nightwing out for how his secrets may spell the death of M'Gann, Kaldur and Artemis if all goes horribly wrong. This can actually be summed up by the stripper in the "Ben Franklin" episode of season 3 of The Office:
Secret secrets are no fun. Secret secrets hurt someone.
Green Beetle seems to have repaired Blue Beetle's Scarab, giving him control. I hope this doesn't mean the end of Beetle arguing with his homicidal Scarab. That's the best part of Blue Beetle.
I kept waiting for the inevitable Sportsmaster run-in, but it never came. Considering that MM said the mind repair could take weeks, it looks like it's going to be a slow burn to that plot point.
As much as I'm liking Green Beetle, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with him. Jaime being unable to hear his scarab anymore can't be a good thing in the end, I would think. Not sure where that plot goes from here.
Dick's clearly not as good as Bruce when coming up with clandestine undercover plans, because he really did kinda screw everything up by keeping so many people out of the loop.
I am also leery of the Green Beetle as well. Artemis reminded me why I don't mind not having Artemis around. Dick slowly becoming Bruce was nice to see and Conner saying what Clark would say was nice touch too. I am not sure how many slow burn stories we need. We have the Reach one, the heroes being in space, now mind repairing Aqualad on top of Blue Beetle, Destroyer of Earth. It might be time to end one or two of these storylines.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
