Really cuz I don't think "The Rock confronts John Cena after he competes in Money in the Bank" is a great hook.

Has anyone said what Rock's schedule is? Will he be on the Raws leading up to WM, or will he just be doing one or two live with taped interview bits the rest of the way? Is he on tonight's Raw? Shouldn't the WWE have made the crystal clear so guys like me know to be tuning in?

Also, is there any word if Rock will be doing anything with the company after WM or will he just be more like Mike Tyson?

... and is the selling point of this year's WM really going to be what happens when the Rock and Cena go nose to nose for a second? I know that was sort of a selling point of WrestleMania XIV, but they had also built a solid feud with HBK and a white hot Austin to go along with it.

Wow. It's still a long time to WM and they have plenty of time to build up that feud with Cena and Miz. Two guys that have the mic skills to make people care about their feud.
And they can always jump back to that feud a while back and use that as a starting point.

And adding ROck in the mix will only make it more interesting.
Same for Edge and Alberto (and Christian?) and all other matches.
The foundation is there, and they have plenty of time to build the matches.

They're making it intentionally vague so everyone expects him on every show. Realistically he might be on one more Raw.

The foundation is shaky. Cena and Miz have been feuding on the mic for a few weeks now and nobody seems to care or remembers it. I would prefer Rock in Mitb or at least wrestling instead of refereeing or sitting at ring side for Miz/Cena. Tyson couldn't wrestle, fight like hell yes, but no one though he could wrestle nor did he. We all know Rock can wrestle, so there is expectation there. ADR is going to win unless they throw Christian in there. It being a three way will at least be interesting. ADR has been going over clean on a lot of people that I can't see him not winning.

Adding Christian gives him sometime to feud with ADR before Mania. Edge then can either end his feud with Ziggler or Vickie and not have to be stuck in five weeks of tag matches as E&C. On the other hand, Cena gets to face A-Reily for a few weeks while Cole cums over Miz's shoes. To set-up the Cole/Lawler match, we have all been demanding and will take up a lot a time via commentary. If there was ever a time to get JR back, its now. No one wants to hear Cole bury the women's division, make small talk with Josh and mention Miz's name every five seconds heading into Mania.

Mania is going to be sold on the Attitude Era star power. This youth movement has not done well. WWE last quarter lost money on everything expect the Mattel figures and some merchandising. Ratings are actually worse then last years and Mania is not sold out nor is the HOF. The IWC loves these guys and some of the fanbase does too, but none of them has the cross over like Rock which is whose back this will be on. If he shows up here and there via satellite link and the occasional promo here or there, I am not sure if even he can sell the units Vince or the IWC expects which is over a million buys. If you really wanted a youth movement put Miz/Morrison for the title and let Cena/Rock carry the show as the present vs. the past.

OK. I would prefer President Obama wrestling Randy Orton, no idea why WWE wouldn't book this match when he's been on WWE TV before. If there was an amount of money WWE could give Rock to get him to wrestle, they would've paid it.

If he shows up all the time and does angles with Cena, there's nothing left to pay for at Wrestlemania.

Really? Rock is one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. He has given the fans a lot of great wrestling moments. The people want to see Rock vs. Cena not Miz vs. Cena, because we haven't seen it before and its the dream match which has been the selling point of every Wrestlemania. Rock wrestling Cena is something everyone wants to see and will pay for. Miz will wrestle Cena sometime between now and Mania either in handicap matches or tag matches, so what are people paying for Mania comes around? If Rock is wrestling tune matches against HHH, Miz and Taker then they can at least keep him away from Cena til Mania.

Enough fantasy stuff, more reality. Like the reality that says that Booker T is a terrible commentator and should be taken off immediately. I wanted a mute button only for him (not Cole, who was great calling The Book on the table for his cliche-ridden mess of a time last night). I am not a Striker hater, but even they have to see that a guy with almost no knowledge of the product is worse than a guy with too much knowledge of WWE.

Fantastic PPV in spite of the commentating, and the answer to the question about needing swerves on a show should have been answered by the almost 100% positive rating this show has been given by people in this thread.

One of the big conditions the Rock gave before signing was that he would never (and the Rock means, NEVER) wrestle again. All they can do is tease a match, but at best you're going to get "a confrontation".

On a side note, my parents switched over to RAW for the first time since seeing Bret Hart show up last year. They asked me why the commentator kept saying everything on the show sucked, and why was telling everyone watching how bad this show was. Needless to say, they took his advice and found something else to watch.

My roommate and I were just dying laughing at every stupid comment he was saying. "Did you see that!" "They're trying to win!". Did someone tell him to act like Captain Obvious all night?

It was the most unintentionally funny commentary I've heard in a long time and it was getting so bad, then Cole called him out and we were actually cheering for Cole to keep on him for his bad commentary.

He was very distracting, to say the least.

I don't really understand what you're arguing against. Rock wrestling would be amazing. Rock isn't wrestling. WWE isn't preventing a willing Rock from wrestling because they'd rather see Cena vs. Miz. Rock is having a showdown with Cena at Wrestlemania. If Rock is on TV all the time then there's nothing left to show down.

Anyone who has EVER been under contract with the WWE? If this is true, then Vince is going above and beyond with this, and I hope people will cut him a little slack in regards to other things because of it.
