All right, when Hunter was a good guy you good people (not all of you, of course) wanted him to be a bad guy again sooo bad. You practically BEGGED for it. Well, while even I, a rabid HHH fan till the day I quit watching wrestling, agree that the last segment on RAW went really long, though not nearly as long as The Rock's anal-sex-with-a-microphone-and-a-cow interview last week, you finally got your wish--HHH is a heel again. You guys finally got what you want but you are still not satisfied. I'm so frustrated with all this that I might stop posting for a while. And if any of you don't want me to quit, then you know what to do.
Hey, if you can't do it -turn heel- in style, then don't do it at all...
Chokeslam! Chokeslam! Right through the spanish announce table. Oh no, there goes another table... And another, and another...What's he doing? No, please not my table....Noooo! Oh my gawd, my table, dammit. You'll pay for this.. You'll pa -Sound of a crash- ....
The difference between the HHH-mystery angle and the Rock promo was that the Rock promo was a one-shot deal. HHH took up something like 6 segments, just to climax with a too-long verbal spar with Shawn Michaels.
It's not that I am not satisfied with the HHH turn to heel (I agree with the rest that HHH is MUCH better as a heel), I was upset with the way it was done (in this case, a three week long story that made no sense and didn't have a good payoff). I hope that HHH can step up and carry Shawn in their match, and then go on and feud with top faces like RVD and Hogan. I just think that either as a face or a heel, HHH isn't as entertaining to me as Angle, Jericho, and other midcarders are. Furthermore, HHH has clearly lost a step or three, and he needs to re-evaluate his spot if he isn't drawing ratings or money.
Edited to add that I hope you don't stop posting just because there isn't enough HHH love on the board. We are all really just jealous of him (I hope she buys this :-).

Ringmistress, listen to the wise and trustworthy TorchSlasher and continue to post.
I think what we're jealous of is that HHH was able to go from an athletically slim, rather good looking young man to a 'roided up, purplish, scarred, huge-beaked guy in his thirties and still keep all his heat, adding steam by being the last male in his thirties in the nation for whom sleeping with the boss' daughter is a solution, not a problem.
Hold on a minute, King-- I'm getting word over the headset that that's not it at all! Bidness is pickin' up like the rest of the Big 12 through the Sooners. By God, how much more punishment can one poster take?!? Somebody stop this! Stop this right now!

Well, that's the first time I have been labeled as "wise."
Before Stephanie was given the book, most of us smarks loved her. When HHH got into a relationship with her, we immediately had to turn on the "smark-alarm" and turn into blind Hunter haters. So while I dislike HHH for perceived power gained from his relations with Steph (whom we must also now hate because she let the now evil HHH infect her mind and cloud her pristine judgement), I also envy him and respect him for his political savvy.
Or maybe not. The point is that you shouldn't base your desire to post on people with names such as Torchslasher, whatever, Chokeslammer, and some dude named OGRAF (WTF?).

I didn't like how the segment went tonight, the fans were supposed to boo HHH, but no they didn't. Why? Because SHAWN ISN'T A TOP FACE! Everyone was bored with him before this happened, the NWO really killed Shawn. So when HHH was insulting Shawn, some fans still cheered.
Threepme has an excellent point. Watch HHH now and think back to Austin about five or six months ago. The similarities in their performances are eerie. HHH, although injured and unable to work a match at the moment, is virtually mailing it in on the stick. I mean, he's been real life best buddies with Michael for a long time and those two seem to have no chemistry whatsoever on the mic together.
Gimme a good ol' fashioned Angle/Lesnar encounter over this any day. They have chemistry. Can't wait to see 'em in the ring. Ringmistress, that's what I want. More than anything. I want a nice, slow build to a title match between Brock & Angle. I'd like it in time for Christmas as well!!
Brock & Angle, I'd PAY to see that! Correction, I'd PAY to see that EVERY MONTH!! Well, folks, I have to thank you for being cool with my ranting. Being a Hunter booster, it's hard for me to find faults in him. But, his recent stuff is bland in comparison to 2000. But, I also think that it isn't always HIS fault. He's not getting much to work with from the creative crew, what he is given is, well, not much to sink your teeth into. He's not the only wrestler to suffer from that this year, you know. But I always believed as a fan, you have to take the good with the bad with a wrestler. My older brother Matt loves Ric Flair and has loved him for the last 20 years watching wrestling. Even during that godawful angle in 99 with Asya and him being put in the looney bin, Matt kept on liking him, but wasn't happy with the things they make him do. That's where I am with HHH right now. I can hate what they're doing with him, but still like the man for the great things he has done. I hope that clears everything up for you.
HBK kicked Booker T out, and the nWo self-destructed soon after that. Think the fans will make him face now? HHH's foray this week was a waste of time. He should have grinned and said "You're right" to Eric Bischoff instead of shouting "F--- you!".

I think there's been a misunderstanding. People didn't want HHH to go heel simply because he's better as a bad guy, although that's part of it. Heel turns that make no sense don't really get the job done.
What we, or at least I, wanted, was for HHH to return to the level he was at throughout 2000. For that entire year, and the first quarter of 2001, he was the best heel in the business, and one of the best since Ric Flair's glory days. He was a guy who busted his ass every night, wrestled on damn near every show, and gave us a great match almost every time out. His promos had a kind of fire that they just don't have now. The Foley/HHH feud was the SHIT. When you watched Hunter cut a promo before his injury, you could feel the intensity. He made you believe that he really was the most ruthless son of a bitch in the WWF, that he really was capable of anything, and that he HATED his opponent. Then he'd go out and back it up with a great, four plus star match.
I've been a fan for a long time. I didn't go away during the shitty years. Having seen WWE at it's best (1984-89, 98-2000) and it's worst (94-96, 2001-present), I don't feel like we should have to sit back and accept whatever the fed gives us. HHH was great in 2000. But he set the bar really high for himself, and right now he's living off great things he's done in the past. Having a great year doesn't give you the right to mail in your effort afterwards. And don't jump on me and say that crap about "how dare you question HHH. These guys put their bodies through blah, blah blah." HHH makes a shitload of money to entertain me, and he's not doing it. Period.
I got some decent feedback from last week, so I thought I would continue with my weekly Bits. No Smackdown rundown for last week, I was far too busy installing OSX, yeah yeah! - Bradshaw is back into the lame cowboy motif this week.
