Originally posted by crimsonThis is a public forum and a public debate on something that all of us feel strongly about for the simple reason we ARE fans. My exact position has been articulated by many people at the deadvalleydriver board. I am not the only person who reacted this way.
There certainly ARE a lot of clueless idiots at the DVDVR board, yes.
You own the forum so that gives you certain rights and privileges but if you disagree with my posts for anything apart from me being Captain Obvious and repeatitive, then you owe it to everyone to articulate precisely what is wrong about them (unless you feel it is all a big waste of time anyway in which shut the board down NOW and get on with your life.
Your advice has been taken under advisement.
Although I owe nobody an explanation for the way I choose to administer this board, let's go ahead and bullet point your deleted posts in the Benoit thread (keeping in mind there are still five fine examples I did NOT delete which people can read and use to form their own opinions):
Originally posted by crimsonTwisted as it might sound, I am solidly rooting for it to come out that it was wrestling that lead to this. Let's shut down Vince once and for all.
Wrong place, wrong time; irrelevant; non sequitur; stupid.
Originally posted by crimsonjeez. I knew the Internet Wrestling Community could soon start ranting about "They don't understand us, the mainstream morons".
Get off it already. Sure the media stereotype the wrestlers and us but do you guys even understand that in reality both we and the wrestlers are actually far worse than the media gives us discredit for? 65 deaths in 10 years, (note: I am not a journalist and I realize I can actually check the numbers) but I am going on hearsay. To wit: The number that our precious Steve Austin's ex-wife Debra was giving out in some interview or the other.) and people go around sneering about the media having no idea what they are talking about. All you want, is for wrestling to go on as usual.
Trolling, flame bait, misinterpreting others' posts, misinterpreting the actions of the mainstream media, assuming facts not in evidence, stupid.
Originally posted by crimsonPrecisely! And people accuse me of cluelessness. :-) On a related note: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0706/28/ng.01.html It is scary how articulate Jericho can be on something like this. Does he mentally script his TV comments or what? - Not that that is a bad thing.
Posted after I PM'd you requesting you stop making clueless posts. Classic "hey look I AM making valuable contributions" retaliatory cry for help. Unfortunately, reposting a link previously posted in the thread and making a conclusion which had been repeatedly made several times before yours doesn't equate to any added value in the thread. In fact...well, it looks kinda stupid.
Originally posted by crimsonI applaud your restraint and sentence structure.
Stop me if you've heard this before...no added value to the thread, posting for the sake of posting, stupid.
Finally, there was your last post, in which you presumably took umbrage that I decided to make a public example of you - incorrectly quoting text in the process, making points that should have gone in a separate thread on a separate forum - yes, just like THIS thread in THIS forum, perhaps - being rather blatant and cavalier about the fact that you're repeatedly ignoring my best advice, and just generally being stupid.
Originally posted by crimsonTotal waste of time from your side.
I was hoping for something like a reprise of your tremendous "Ah fuck it, Mr Steve Austin worshipper" but at least the fact that we have ANY response does show everyone that you did read this. We anxiously await your next move.
Well played by all, I must say. The previous posts are exactly why I come to this board. The people here get it. If you screw up and say something stupid, people here normally let it slide. But if you are consistently talking out your ass, they are going to put the hammer down. It's easy, don't be stupid. And if you don't like the way the board is run, go somewhere else.
I'm not sure how difficult it would be to put in a code to automatically lock threads after a week of inactivity, but it sounds like a feasible idea to try if you can do it. The other option is the rather unpleasant notion of doing it manually.
