Announced on their blog today, http://maps.google.com

It's like MapQuest... except it looks more nifty.

This kept me occupied at work for at least an hour today.

The ability to drag the map (or, if you prefer, use your arrow keys) is the greatest thing since the internet, and the maps are absolutely gorgeous. Plus, the directions pop up mini-maps (with DROP SHADOWS!) every time you click on a step.

Then again, I can't get the "directions" option to give me a solid line from place-to-place as Yahoo! and MapQuest do. Also, the "local search" is kind of awkward; I'd like to be able to go to a community and find a street, but very often it would revert back to a larger map with nothing found. A minor inconvenience. The biggest drawback is using dial-up: maps load slow, and the dragging aspect is kind of ruined. Still, pretty awesome work.

So, um, I don't want you to believe everything you hear at the parent-teacher conference, okay, 'cause...they lie. And they exaggerate. That's why they're teachers, right? Those who can't, right, Mom? Those who can't.

My advice would be to go to a ticketmaster outlet, and not trying to buy them online, or better yet, find somebody in a town a ways away to buy them for you, since the merchants where they are at wont have a ton of people trying to get to them.
