Even better...the "wedding" happens and we find out one or the other THOUGHT they meant tag partner for life, then the realization hits...
I haven't seen anything in the spoilers to indicate they KISSED or anything...

In fact, having Stephanie go along with the "wedding" wouldn't make her a face GM either.
Then again, I still don't understand how I'm supposed to react to Stephanie McMahon. Come on writers, help a brother out.

If we can't have gay marriages on a national pro wrestling TV show, the terrorists will have already won!

I wonder if this was one of Russo's ideas during his short stint as "ideaman."

| #29 Posted on 4.9.02 1423.56 | Well, if the "wedding" is to be on next week's Smackdown, it's being taped in... lessee... Minneapolis, Minnesota. A little homework reveals that neither same-sex "marriages" nor "domestic partnerships" are legally sanctioned in Minnesota, which is a minor continuity glitch.
They could've waited two more weeks and decided to hold it in San Diego, which would've not only been in a location generally friendlier to such partnerships (the Knight Initiative notwithstanding), but would've also been in Chuck's hometown so that his family and friends could share in their... well, moment.
I like the "TAG partner for life -- what did you THINK I meant?" concept, though.

| #30 Posted on 4.9.02 1442.57 | So.... given the WWE's tendency to rehash angles after 7 years, can we expect to see the B&C breakup in 2009 after Chuck fakes a pregnancy to get Billy to renew their vows? Leading up to internet-favorite champion John Cena to lose his poorly-booked heavyweight championship title reign at Wrestlemania to Billy after Chuck joins up with Cena, and Cena then escalating the feud when he accidentally runs over Billy's beloved wolfman, Rico?
If Billy Gunn ever wins the WWE title, the universe as we know it will cease to exist, as reality itself will fold in upon itself in a vortex of suck.

In the spoilers I read, Chuck gives Billy a ring while proposing on his knee. Later, Steph refers to its as "marriage" and neither dispute it, but look all happy. Then D-Von gets in their face and calls it sinful. Again, they don't say, "Hey wait a minute D-von! We meant tag partners."
This is no "tag partner for life" angle folks. This is the real deal.

Nah, they've got an "in" with the Gov, who has been brought in on storyline before to change law on a whim (the Foley Connecticut contract...) Besides, nobody's mentioned it would be legally binding. Gay/Lesbian couples do this type of ceremony everywhere, even if it's meaningless legally...

| #40 Posted on 5.9.02 0038.41 | Wasn't the Too Much wedding an idea by Vince Russo that Vince McMahon shot down? I constantly remember net writers referencing to how Russo planned on doing this, but Vince was the all might powerful filter that took out all of Russo's bad stuff and made it good. Slight point, that's it.
