| #2 Posted on 28.3.03 1716.46 | Let's see, this means Steinbrenner doesn't make as much money, and Yankee fans get screwed. Throw in the 'Great Satan' Mariano Rivera opening the season on the DL, and its been a happy few days for Red Sox fans. Funny how all this goodness coincides with Lou Merloni leaving Boston.

(looks at Toronto's roster) Or not. Could go either way.

| #5 Posted on 31.3.03 2347.27 | They made a deal tonight about 30 minutes before the start of the Yanks-Blue Jays game tonight. Supposedly it's for the entire season. And I believe that Cablevision subscribers were able to see the game tonight too.

| #6 Posted on 4.4.03 1255.55 | Instant Rating: 3.87 | I heard the announcement on WFAN at 6:48pm about the agreement, and was on hold with Cablevision customer service a minute later. When I finally talked to someone, they didn't even know about the deal. After putting me back on hold for five minutes, she spoke the most beautiful 13 words known to Cablevision subscribing Yankee fans: "Sir, you now have the YES Network, and it's on channel eighty-nine."
And yeah, I got to see friggin Jeter's shoulder from every possible angle.... He'll be back by mid-May.

EDIT: and the Don Mattingly Yankeeography makes the thing worth it.

| #9 Posted on 7.4.03 1412.28 | After two days of calling up to request it, Cablevision finally gave me the YES network. Since I had one of the lower tier packages, it cost me an extra $1.95 per month but it is worth every penny.
Yesterday afternoon I got to relax and watch the Yankees crush the Devil Rays. Yankees could score in double digits every game against these guys. No better way to spend a weekend than watching Lou Pinella blow his top.

Man, that is gonna get old within the next week.
Yesterday, I don't know if you caught the replay of the '96 opener - the one against KC with the snow. My wife was asleep on the couch, woke up and said "I thought they cancelled the opener yesterday..." Two seconds later: "Wow, who is the guy on the mound who looks like Wetteland?" Two minutes later: "Jeter's back?!?!?" Three seconds later, to me: "Stop laughing at me, you asshole."
