So due to PREEMPTION BY VOLLEYBALL I only just now saw the last Angel. Sweet, sweet Eliza. Awesome episode too. Five reasons Faith rules: 1.She put Conner in line 2.Her catchphrase as said by Wes is hilarious 3.Her nonchalant maximum security prison break out 4.She put Conner in line 5.She too recognizes Wes is the man (AND HE WON'T DIE! NO! NO! NO!)
Color me impressed with Faith as well. I rewatched 5x5/Sanctuary beforehand to get my Faith fix in gear, and back then as now, Eliza Dushku can still 'bring it' as Faith. Plus her being really hot helps. I liked her statement that "Angel was the only one who never gave up on me; I'm not gonna give up on him." It shows how much the character has grown since she confessed to her crimes. Plus, that breakout served as a stark reminder of what we already knew -- she was in jail of her own accord, as she really could break out at any time.
Oh, and is Evil Cordelia playing Connor like a fiddle or what? A lot of her actions from earlier episodes are starting to make sense now. That being said....if don't think I'm ever going to listen to the phrase "give mama some sugar" ever again though...
One last thing...So I'm looking through the latest edition of FHM in the store (that lady from Sex & The City is on the cover) and who should I see with a small spread? None other than Amy Acker! Guess that only leaves Stephanie Romanov as one of the main female characters who hasn't done a spread for one of the men's mags.
Power flows to the one who knows how -- desire alone is not enough.
Originally posted by IPowerbombedKidmanI haven't seen Angel, but I absolutely adore Eliza. I heard rumors about her getting a spinoff show. Is there any truth to it. And when is Angel coming to DVD.
The Eliza spin-off ain't happening. She's going to do a new show this fall called Heroine.
I have a special friend. He's the baby Jesus and I love him and...and...he don't give me no s**t and he don't f**k around and he's just the f**king coolest guy and I wanna say I love the baby Jesus.I can't say enough.I love the baby Jesus and I think...he's the best thing and he's really great when he shares his love for everbody. You know what I mean?I can't even see a manger without thinkin' about him,eh?I just love the Jesus.I've only been into him for a couple of hours though, but I'm really into him. --Bruce McCulloch
As much as Cordelia may be pregnant, I'm thinking that she really isn'tt. At least, that isn't Cordelia, and while her belly may swell, whatever it produces won't be alive, if it produces anything at all. This is all just part of Evil Cordelia's way of manipulating Connor into serving her, just as she tried to manipulate Angelus, just as she was manipulating the Beast. Apparently Angelus is the only one who doesn't fit into plans well.
And what's up with Angelus kicking more ass evil than when good? He let that girl go when he heard about the slayer being in town when he could have at least snapped her neck, he dusted the annoying vamp, he killed the Beast.
I'm thinking Cordelia is still in that glowy place that she was at the beginning of the season. I'm also thinking Skip (and TPTB?) is evil (or being manipulated...)
Faith does indeed kick ass. The minute she said, "Get away from the glass," I knew it was on like neckbone. Faith vs. the Beast is my MotY so far...
Why am I thinking that the prison attack sequence should have been on Buffy instead?
I thought it was defintely something fresh, which is sorely needed on the TV landscape these days. I'll keep on watching, since I really like John Corbett's character and anything set in Vegas is OK in my book.
