I've searched around, and I can't seem to find an answer to this question. It's a technical one.
I have XBox live, and Rainbow Six 3. I directly plug my ethernet cable into the back of the XBox from my cable modem. When playing RS3, I hear everybody and can chat when I'm in the lobby, but when I play, I hear nothing except for an occasional word. They can hear me fine. I have a feeling this is a lag problem, but I have no other lag in the game (occasional choppiness if I'm in a huge game with 10+ players, but that's it). My cable provider says that XBox live is supported by them, and that there shouldn't be problems.
The only other thing that I can think of is for some reason my cable modem isn't compatible. I know that this problem happens with some routers, but I am not using a router. Does anybody know if there is a list of cable modems that work/don't work with XBox live? I have a Hitron Tech BRG 3520, provided to me by the cable company.
No other XBox live game I have acts this way. Does anybody know of a fix, or am I screwed when it comes to RS3? Thanks in advance if anybody out there is smart.
Gravity is a contributing factor in nearly 73 percent of all accidents involving falling objects.
For anyone that hasn't jumped on board yet. It makes sense. The game's been out for four years, so just about everyone who's going to buy the game has already bought the game. Time for a new audience. Give it a shot if you haven't already.
