After LucasArts canceled Sam and Max: Freelance Police, a lot of people were pissed off, and some former Lucas Arts employees formed an entirely new studio called Telltale Games, who got the rights to make new Sam & Max games after Lucas Arts' license expired.
They're downloadable episodic games, but I think the first "season" had a retail version come out as well. | Lise
