Dead Space is my game of the year so far. Other than one tiny gripe about the enemies (they don't like to cross doorways) the game is perfect, smooth, and well polished. I'm playing thru Gears 2 now, but nothing had jumped out at me like it did (literally) in Dead Space.

I am fifteen years removed from high school, but this game still exists and the title just keeps getting longer and longer. I'm so old I remember when it was only two words and a number. Anyway, I am super excited for this game and I queued up the download just before I left for work, so I should have it by the time I get home.
sirlin.net has a great list of articles from David Sirlin, the lead designer of the HD Remix version. I can't give a direct link to the blog and the articles because I'm behind my work's web filter, but the Yahoo Pipe should hopefully point you in the right direction.
The new SS2 is HARD. Vega is especially cheaper than I remember. Akuma takes way more damage than he did before and most of the characters have different controls for at least one move. Well, for the PS3 version. That came out last night.
Sagat's uppercut used to be 8 hits, but I might be thinking of the Alpha version though. It's down to just 1 hit.
The new graphics and music are top notch.

There will be a Black Friday sale on a handful of Xbox Live Arcade games, downloadable content, and themes (for US users only). Click through for the deals.
Also, there will be a Resident Evil 5 demo launching on December 5 (EDIT: in Japan, so, uh, never mind).

I just bought the game, and I second this opinion. It is mind numbingly hard. I am having trouble even on medium.
No digital Wii releases this week either - just the same Rock Band songs that the Xbox got. 3DS eShop (Thursday) • Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy, $3.99) • Tumble Pop (Game Boy, $2.99) • The Phantom Thief Stina and 30 Jewels ($4.99)...
