I'm sincerely hoping that folks won't be purchasing the Euro 2012 DLC for Fifa '12. No matter how good a soccer game Fifa '12 is, the overpriced DLC is nothing more than a few new kits and stadiums and a new single player game mode. And yeah, there's the tournament too, but the galling thing is that more than half the UEFA teams are unlicensed! This means fictional players ala the Pro Evolution series.

If EA Sports are good for anything, it's getting all the official licenses down in their games.

There's also a game freezing bug during online matches that has forced some players to re-download the blasted thing just to get it to work again.

I'm not a big fan of DLC in general, but this one really stinks of trying to give the customer the reach-around.

Don't they usually release a seperate game for the tournaments? So maybe they just decided to make it a DLC for 20 dollars (that's 1800 points, right?) because they couldn't secure all names/rights. That's still cheaper than making a new game to screw you out of your money.

It's still way too much for a few new jerseys and a new single player mode (where the reward for finishing hundreds of matches is a freaking mosaic picture). I'm sure the spin doctors worked out that a DLC release would net them more profit over a full retail release.

I feel like the EA Sports brand, for better or worse, has built itself on its authenticity over the years. So cutting corners by only having half the teams with fictional players feels like a terrible cheat to me. Even the host nations of the tournament have fake players in them.

In other news, has anyone played the Walking Dead game?

I really liked it, and cannot wait until episode 2 comes out.
There was plenty of action and the way the controls work, at times I was actually scrambling in half-panic to bash a zombie's brain in.
But of course the most interesting thing is the interaction with the people, and how your answers and such change the way they treat you.

Also, some fun cameos of some people we already know from the books/show.
