(I do not own an Xbox, but I would assume like the PS3 they've got USB plugs?)

And yes, there is a way to use a wireless controller wirelessly, but we don't sell it at GameStop, 'it' being a wireless receiver set to your controllers frequency that occupies a USB slot. Happy hunting if you're dedicated, though. If all else and all you have is the wireless one and you can't find a receiver you can always pick up a recharge kit that will make your wireless controller hard wired. Also, on that note, you should be able to find ways to use your Sixaxis on your PC too, though I have zero experience with that.
Really, though, unless the game was also recently on consoles, you may experience better control and gameplay on your keyboard depending on how many keys and buttons you need to map in order to play. Don't know much about STO, but I know WoW's hotkeys make using a controller nigh impossible.

Anything else I'm happy to use my kbd for.
Thanks, Lexus!

It doesn't carry data over the usb, just power. You still need the bluetooth dongle.
