So on my nights off, I have been participating in G4/TechTV's new Hyperactive game on the Internet. It involves following the two shows on G4 from 11 to midnight, and going to the official website and playing the game. It's basically part trivia/part poll/ and part Pong (the best part).
I finally got in the Top 10 tonight during the Unscrewed show. This is where the genius of this idea comes in, because without it I would never watch this show. I like X-Play because I dig video games, but Unscrewed plays like a public access show...a BAD show. Playing the game though does make sitting through the show bearable.
There's even a chatroom you can jump in during the show, and I do contribute, but I wouldn't recommend it to others. It's mostly underage kids talking nonsense. I just try to make jokes.
So, has anyone else played the game? Do you even watch either show?
Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house... Crow T. Robot- A man? Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter. Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her. Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!
I was living in New York City during the summer of 1998 when the Matthew Broderick Godzilla was released. I remember how great the advertising was; billboards all over town: "HIS TAIL IS AS LONG AS A SUBWAY TRAIN!
