After he showed up backstage at the Judgment Day PPV, many in WWE think that Sean Waltman is on the verge of being rehired by WWE. Waltman has had countless chances with WWE but has not lasted or lived up to his potential due to personal problems including drug usage. Despite that, his friendships with Triple H and Vince McMahon may help him get yet another chance.

Due to his neck problems, he likely would not be able to work a fulltime schedule if brought back. Odds are that he would be a regular TV character and also have some job backstage.

Okay, he could have just been visiting and the Torch turned it into a rumour, but I think the WWE can actually use Waltman again. He'd be a great upper-mid card heel for the Smackdown side as he could feud with Cena, work tag matches, bring some name recognition to the Cruiser Division and even Main Event against Eddy on Smackdown. I wouldn't Main Event him on a PPV, but there's no reason he and Eddy can't work a good 20 minute Smackdown match.

I always liked X-Pac. People always said Pac was over-exposed. A two year lay off should take care of that. Of course there's that group that thinks that X-Pac is the worst thing to ever happen to wrestling, and they are going to bitch no matter what, but I think he can really do some good this time around if he's put on Smackdown. Sort of the role of that Christian has on Raw.

It's funny because I have disliked X-Pac for many years now and thought that he should be off my TV. Perhaps because of the state of Smackdown, I don't have a problem with your suggestion of bringing Sean in. A feud with Cena is truly tailor-made for him, and yes he then can go to the Cruisers.

I just don't want to see him on Raw as the next Evolution member. He should help SD though.

X-Pac is ok, but he needs a lot of work to return...

Wasn't there a message we all needed to read that said not to copy/paste items from websites?

No way in hell I'd take him back. Can't work a full time schedule. Ego problems. Would most likely object to working in the cruiser division. People are over-estimating his "star" power.

And backstage duties? X-Pac? AHAHAHAHAHA! Yes, he's exactly the influence they need backstage.

According to those who were there, X-Pac was looking good in the ring at the Inoki Dojo. He also appeared to have a new sort of attitude.

It would be Antonio Inoki (New Japan). It's in Los Angeles. X-Pac was in his American Super Jrs tournament a month ago.

The quote is attributed, and I doubt it is the entire article. A relevant portion was quoted for comment. I think it was fine.

Yes, well, this may be a decent idea, but if it's his connections with Triple H that are gonna get him re-hired, what are the chances he would be on a different show than him (and other Kliq members, for that matter)? I would say very small.

If you remember that Triple H's *wife* was on a different show than him, I don't think that it's that big of a stretch to imagine Triple H could go without being joined at the hip with the guy (unless we go the course of saying Triple H and X-Pac have a closer relationship than Triple H and Stephanie do).

It could just be "helping a friend get a second (thrid?) chance" and not "I want to party 24/7 with this guy! It'll be SO KEWL!".

No, but since she's the head writer, you can assume she's AT every taping.

If Smackdown DESPERATELY needs the star power, there are worse ideas than bringing back X-Pac for a midcard feud with John Cena. Of course, by Smackdown's unwritten rules, with his years of loyalty, all it takes is a gimmick overhaul and X-Pac gets one (maybe TWO) PPV main events. Of course, Waltman hasn't overhauled his gimmick in years, so I don't think that'll be an issue.

Now a brief TV feud with Eddie (with NO PPV's involved) would be something I could handle. These two have put on good matches and I wouldn't mind seeing them go 20 minutes. I think Waltman's been in exile enough. Maybe it is time to give him a second chance.

If we can take Bradshaw in a PPV main event and live, I hardly think bringing back Sean Waltman will destroy the fabric of the universe.

Is Waltman even in ring shape? Let's not assume we'd be getting the Sean Waltman of 1998. Plus, didn't he get back together with Chyna? Couldn't this lead to Chyna backstage. Would any of this be allowed to happen?

To answer your questions...

Yes, he is.
Yes, he did.
So what if she'd be backstage?

According to the Torch, If he's still dating Chyna or still on drugs, those are deal-breakers in bringing him back. Trips and Chyna had a nasty split, and suffice to say, she would not be welcome backstage.
