Although it amused me to see the Tazz "fan" get his comeuppance, it sort of bothered me that they gave that guy a spot in the semi-finals just so they could do that to him. Not that he didnt' deserve it, but it seemed like throwing away a spot.

I think the interview stuff is probably more important than the show makes it seem like it is. That might be why some of the people who seemed to stand out physically didn't end up making it. I think the gymnast guy might have been hurt by giving the impression that he wasn't familiar with WWF television.

I don't see any obvious Daryls yet. Can't wait to see Bob Holly get to work. The trainers as a whole seem more interesting this year--I'm not sure, but I don't think Tazz is involved very much this time. I just hope this cast is a little more durable, physically speaking. It's interesting to look at the website and try and figure out where the show will go--they're giving indications that Robert [the big black guy] will have a hard time with training.

The bios are pretty funny. Alicia was the State Champion Tree Climber in high school!

I'm picking Anni and Jacob.

Well, after the first real episode last year(aka, not the casting special) I correctly picked Maven and Nidia to win. Let's see if I can one-up myself and pick from the casting special:

Hawk and Anni to win.

Yes, the best last night was JR's reply when Gymnast said "What's a spinaroonie?" "What, you don't watch our programming, you're not familiar with our product?"

I too was mystified when that Dan guy didn't make it. They SHOWED the judges saying that they were going to switch Dan for some other guy. Then immediately they announce the final 13, and the Danimal is gone. I was pissed cause I wanted to see the Danimal with his fanimals in the WWF.
Jackie is the female Josh in that she really wants it more than the other women, but will lose in the finals (if she makes it) to one of the more athletic females. Just don't let Anni win, PLEASE! We don't need another Chyna on our collective hands.

Hey, at least Anni is attractive.

I think they learned their lesson on the women contestants this time--picking the ones who seem interested in wrestling and not those who just want to use it as a stepping stone.

And, of course, they used the interviews to have the women bark like dogs and pretend to have sex. That's smart, since if they get to the WWF, that's what they'll be doing.

Hawk's my favorite, so I'd be surprised if he won.

The guy with the funky hair is SO the Harvard Chris of the group.

What makes me think Jacob will win is the way he handled the run---like it was no big deal. Barring injury, of course, it looks like he could probably handle the physical challenges a lot better than most of the other contestants. But Hawk is my second favorite.

I agree it is sort of silly to have the women go through the same competition as the men, because they're basically hoping for a shot at becoming a valet who does the occasional bra and panties match.

Since most people have already named the funny parts I'll mention my own thoughts on the show.

I don't think Robert is going to be like Daryl cause Robert was grateful for getting picked. Daryl seemed more like, Was there any doubt? I was also surprised that the kickboxer/dancer dude didn't make it, but he probably screwed himself when he said he didn't watch the show. And If i was the guy who bad mouthed Taz i woulda went with it and would have told Taz where to stick it. It would have maybe given him a little bit of a chance to make it, but not likely. At least it woulda made some more good T.V. And I agreed with the judges that these people got to watch the first Tough Enough and saw how the did the tryouts. They shoulda have been working out and working on those things. The only thing new to the Try outs was the physical challenge thing at the end. Anyway. I'm done. Got to go practice my kick-ups. heh

Think they'll split the McMahons? If Stephanie gets RAW we should try to arrange a boycott. Traditional WWF logic would tell us that one McMahon will run each "semi-promotion," but since they're all heels, maybe they'll get lumped onto one show?
