It's true. In the "we can do it better than any of YOU" department, smackdown.wwf.com has a VERY detailed spoiler report for Thursday's show, similar to those on the evil wrestling news sites.

What's next? A CRZ-style recapper?!?

D-Von said he also found someone else -- the man above. D-Von said that the man had told him to stop concerning himself with himself, but to concern himself with the sinners. D-Von said that to get that vision across, he needed one thing -- a benefactor. D-Von quoted a scripture, and asked Vince to help him testify. Vince said he was a very rich and powerful man, and it would be his honor to help D-Von help the sinners of the world, since he was a very righteous man himself. He said D-Von had a deal, and D-Von told him to testify.

Reverend D-Von?

I knew a preacher or a televangelist gimmick was coming for him sooner or later....

I always thought that a heel "religious person" would be a good gimmick. Something vaguely RTC-ish, but at the same time, not. He can punish people with his "hell fire and brimstone", as it were.

I remember one time on Smackdown the Dudley's we're dressed like the RTC. They spoke and sounded like southern ministers. Good times....

Time to sign Jake Roberts or the Ultimate Warrior to show D-Von his spiritual ways...

Hey, what about the (former) rapper Mase to rap D-von's new entrance?

god i hope we never hear from mase again.

i think it's cool the wwf is publishing its own spoilers, especially since smackdown! doesn't reach all areas of the country.

Awesome. Now that "Testify!!!!" D-Von says can actually mean someting. I like it. The mid-carders now have something to do. The split is actually doing what Vince said it would. That is a good thing.

There's a long history of heel religous preacher types:

Reverend Ernest something
Brother Love (I guess)

Lots of indy people do it too, including my friend and Odessa Steps magazine columnist Platinum Nat.

I think they've been publishing them ever since Jeff Hardy beat Triple H for the IC Title about a year ago.

I think it's been even longer than that.

They used to "leak" stuff out when they taped RAW every other week.

Remember when they made a huge deal of Mick winning the WWF title? The infamous "he doesn't put any butts in the seats" quote from Schiavone?

Aren't you guys forgetting how badly the preacher Dustin Rhodes went? Though I can see D-Von pulling it off.

So D-Von is going back to the preacher type gimmick and BuhBuh is going back to the dancing fat man routine. Funny how things go full circle.

Back in ECW Buh Buh and Devon were just a couple members of the The Dudley clan. Buh Buh was the big fat stuttering one that danced and D-Von was the black Dudley who would quote scriptures much like Samuel L Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction.

Indeed. And here I thought they decided that one fat guy who dances around the ring just wasn't enough.

With the nWo complete and totally in control of WCW, is there anything WCW can do?   YES! They can continue to hold WCW Worldwide – where the nWo has no chance of EVER appearing! However, big stars are on tap.
