Hi everyone, I'm a new member, but followed this board for months already. Being located in Germany, I can only watch the WWF PPV's, so I miss everything in between (frankly speaking, it doesn't sound like I'm gonna miss anything, but I'd like to make my own opinion), and I'd like to know if there's anyone around here coming from Europe and can tell me where to watch Raw, Smackdown and.......well, I guess I can miss the rest.
Anyone able to help me?

Although I'm a U.S.er, from what I understand WWF is only on SkySports in Europe. I was under the impression you can get SkySports by Satallite pretty much anywhere in Western Europe (Although England and Spain are the only places I know you can get it for sure).

If you've got a decent internet connection, I hear that some people in Canada have been putting up RAW and SD! episodes on eDonkey (via TV Capture card I guess) and other file sharing applications.

I'm not sure how the WWF feels about this if you are from a country where the shows are not broadcast. I think they would have more of an issue with the people putting them online than someone downloading them, though.

I guess it is probably an infringement of copyright, but really, it's only helping the WWF if they are getting distributed to places where they have PPV (money making) and no regular TV.

Actually, when I was there, DSF did kind of a condensed show for WCW and WWF which trailed the actual shows by about a week or two. It's horribly overdubbed in German by the overanxious hosts of the show . . . but it's still the real thing.

(checks the DSF schedule at http://www.sport1.de -- click on "Jetzt im DSF" in the top right corner)

Now, having said that, I see they're still running a show on Wednesday nights recapping WCW Thunder and/or Monday Nitro, so I guess the lag is a bit greater than I remember. :-) Knowing German television, it may recap Raw now, but without having changed the name of the show.

It's your only option as far as I know . . .

Well, my internet connection is a very slow one, but thanks for the hint
WWF could not complain about this, since they always gave a shit about sending their shows in Germany. It was always hidden at some tv channels nobody watched, and at the end of 2000 they completely got rid of everything. Now all I can do is read about it in the internet and wait for the next PPV (which is here on PPV as well, with german announcers that suck so bad that nobody would ever complain about Michael Cole anymore!)

And I don't get Sky sports here as well.......*sighing*

Amen, brother. I would guess that these are the same guys that do the DSF show, and yes, they are worse than Cole. :-)

All they show on DSF at the moment are old Nitros from 1998 with those ass-clowns announcing that give me toothaches. I know it's better than nothing, but it's really a sad situation here..............

Actually, are you sure that it's actually 1998 Nitros, or you're just confusing today's Raw with the WCW shows from that era? :-) It's an easy mistake to make these days . . .

Some people may get a kick out of this (well Mark Coale and Mike Sweetser might anyway) but the commentary guy for most of DSFs stuff was none other than Oliver Copp of TNM7 fame for a while.

Anyway, EvilActivity, do you still get analogue sattelite transmissions over there? If so I'm pretty sure that DSF still broadcast WWF, albeit a couple of weeks late. I can't verify that though as they recently stopped analogue transmissions here in the UK so much for all that fruity late night euro programming . Failing that I think there's an international version of Sky Sports that runs some shows.

I believe they air Jacked and Metal on some german channel, could be that dsf thing.
Sky airs raw,sd and some more and I think for a hefty sum they should be available in Germany.
I get my fix via an friend of a friend who has some semi-legal german satelite decoder.
Best thing you can do is shop around and ask for the options and possibilities.

Good luck..and you know..you ARE missing stuff.

I checked and double checked on DSF, even asked the program boss, and all I got to hear was "no way", but since everyone here thinks it's DSF, there must be something about it. I'm getting Sky News here, but no Sky Sports. Well, only chance must be eBay..............:-)

I was surprised he was the only wrestler to be on the list so far. Or he might just be the only one that non-wrestling fans would care about because of his Olympic past.
