The only thing on there that I couldn't do is provide examples of Sports Play-By-Play experience. I've got none of those.

Maybe I should put something clever down here....

Nah.

Ha! Since when are they concerned about this?

I dont think they ever required writers to be knowledgable in wrestling (which I'm by no means defending), but havent they always wanted that from their prospective announcers?

I knew I was becoming a journalism major for a reason. Though having adequate diction might be my downfall.

But it must be asked, should the potential applicants have the ability to speak without much change in facial expression, and seemingly impossible considering that lips don't make the required motions to produce the sounds?

(Come on people look at J.R. when he talks... it's eerie, I've had nightmares. I wonder if he's been taking botox since before it's been approved. And yes odds are this has been discussed prior... but... dammit.)

J.R. suffered from Bell's Palsy, which I believe led to some paralysis in his face

JR is one of the worst announcers/commentators I have ever heard. Jesse/Gorilla and Gorilla/Heenan are in my opinion the best and the most entertaining. They actually called the matches. It annoys me how much the commentators don't call the matches and focus on other things, Tazz and Cole are especially true of this as well as DeMott and Matthews or whoever that kid is. Some people don't realize that the announcing has a lot to do with the overness of the match, at least in my view.

Actually Jr used to be very good at this back in his UWF/NWA/WCW Days...he's become more of a parody of himself in recent years.

Jericho has a degree in journalism from Red Deer College in Alberta. It's funny, but he might be the only on-screen talent in the WWE who has one. I don't think Lawler, Ross, or Tazz have one. Maybe Cole does.

So sayeth Randy Stilton.

I stopped caring about HHH after 2001. Shawn is great, but I go so tired of him in 2003 where it was HHH/HBK for almost the entire year. HBK has the greatest second life as a wrestler in history.
