SO I know that I'm one of like...three people here who like the WWF DVDs, but I feel like sharing my opinion anyway. So I went to Best Buy to pick mine up today. I like BB because they've been really kind when it comes to prices. Sadly they didn't have the DVDs I wanted, so I swallowed my pride and went to Suncoast. Like I expected, they had them, but at the straight up MSRP. So at 15 bucks a pop, I picked up.

To my slight dissapointment, these are straight ports of the VHS version. Nothing new, and not even any menus or chapters. Plus, the WWF is continuing their stupid trend of not including one of those neat insert all DVDs should have by law in my opinion. On top of that, they continue to have one of those "TRY THESE WWF DVD" inserts that have been added since Survivor Series.
On the plus side, the transfer is nothing short of stunning. No, it's not Star Wars Ep 1 quality or anything, but it's still miles ahead of anything on VHS, and might even be the best video samples from the WWF yet. The audio is nothing to call home about, but still perfectly acceptable.
Video = A-
Audio = B
Extras = F
Recommended for anybody who's a fan of either the WWF Home Video wrestler sets, or fans looking for any old PPV.

I think that the the WWF DVDs are fine, in fact I don't buy the WWF tapes, I just buy the DVDs or skip them entirely. The thing I hate (and is most notable on my WM2K and Summerslam 2000 DVDs is that the WWF DVD quality is really, really, really grainy. The last one I bought was InVasion, and it was a bit better, but I wasn't a huge fan of that.
But I like DVD more than VHS anything, so I'm fine with the WWF DVDs.
Anyone know about Best of Raw vol. 1 on DVD? I thought that it was a bit odd since Best of Raw vol. 1 and 2 are out. I will say Best of Raw vol. 1 and 2 are great buys and have a ton of extra materials. I want to them to get vol. 3 out, so I can relive the nightmare that was the McMahon/Helmsley era. If anything, there were some really good matches with the typical HHH going over endings prior to Backlash. Action is another nice set and is as close to best of Raw vol. 4 as I can think of.
A Fan- Waiting for the good 2000 DVDS to come out ie Backlash, Judgement Day and of course, Unforgiven.
Best as I can figure, Best of RAW is a port of the VHS copy. Now, all of these "attitude" selections I have are unedited, so I believe that the only difference is that this version of Best of RAW will contains two scenes that were on the VHS, but not on the 1-2 DVD.

As for the other comment: I agree. Wrestlemania 2000 was far and away the WORST transfer I have ever seen on a DVD. ESPECIALLY in the Benoit/Angle/Jericho match.
I think adding Jericho adds credibility and another layer of believability. Jericho has been "screwed" by the WWE time and time again. I would believe him getting in Barrett's ear and using the rooks as fodder in a larger scheme.
