It repeatedly states that the dudes pictured in the article are "WWE wrestlers from Australia". They are quite plainly not, but the thing I found particularly amusing was this:
Akshay sure has a special interest in WWE. A few years back, he had fought against famous the WWE wrestler 'The Undertaker' for a fight sequence in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
I figure I would have heard something about Taker acting in Bollywood. I looked up Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi on Wikipedia. The guy he worked with? Brian Lee. Technically not a lie!

There's a pretty funny video of a wrestling match between Crush and the Imposter Undertaker right here (youtube.com) which is really fun to watch. They filmed it in Toronto, interestingly enough.

- THE SOUND EFFECTS. Crush's INCREDIBLE dubbed-in screams of unending torment every time Taker does ANYTHING at all. The weird-ass screaming eagle noises. And the fake punching noise! Did you notice how, even when Taker grabbed Crush to pick him up, there was a punch noise on contact? So cool.
- I forgot how well Brian Lee pulled off the Taker look, especially in the face.
- Crush utterly no-sells the Tombstone. Of course, he can't no-sell a broken neck...
- You sure that was actually Toronto? It kinda looked like a backdrop with the CN Tower on it...
- I need one of those teeny-tiny rings in my living room.
I'm entirely sure I'm going to watch this many more times.

Wow Oliver, Great find.
Taker wins the match. A gimmick match nonetheless. You don't know it until then end, but it was a Casket Match!
Loved the kung Fu sound effects.
As far as the picture of the Australian wrestlers go. I don't recognize them at all.
From left to right (help me out here).
1. I dunno 2. I dunno 3. I dunno 4. I dunno 5. I dunno 6. Jim Neidhart or the dad from O.C. Choppers with an even crazier goatee. 7. I dunno 8. Taker or Bryan Adams.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was just a backdrop. Bollywood movies back then were nowhere near the production quality of what they are today. |
