I think everyone needs to recontextualize things a bit and stop worrying in October about where people are going to be in April for Wrestlemania. I'm more interested in October where people will be in June, which is the new annual WWE Becomes Interesting Month.
Originally posted by lotjxThey won't have to worry about Bryan at Mania, because he will be in the damaged goods sections next to Morrison in a few weeks. Bryan has to win a match and soon. You can't have a guy go into Mania with a record of 0-300 after winning MITB.
Sounds like Bryan and Morrison need to wrestle each other in order to stop someone's bleeding.

They might try and float that line at an investors conference but I think they know he's their life preserver right now.

I always like to follow this stuff just to see how it changes. A little over a year ago we were talking about Undertaker vs. Sheamus in a world title unification match which was pretty stellar IIRC. So for what it's worth, the Observer lists the current long-term Mania plans on the Smackdown side as
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
- Big Show vs. Mark Henry in a table match at TLC - Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble in St. Louis - Orton beats Henry before Wrestlemania for some reason - Orton vs. Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania
It's pleasantly stunning to me that Bryan following through on Wrestlemania is actually in their plans. Maybe the losing streak is a longterm (dubious) storyline planned from here to Mania to set up him snapping and turning heel. Maybe they're just crazy people.
Edge was a main eventer when he won MITB in 2005? How many shows had he main evented at that point? I think it was in the region of none.
Yeah, I think Edge, Punk, and Miz would all call winning Money in the Bank the most important break of their careers. Swagger not so much. D.Bryan, we'll see.
last i heard, while they are building up to 24 ppvs - i think they're shooting for 16 but don't quote me on that - something like four of the ppvs will be interpromotional. backlash will be interpromo.
