On this week's show
- early morning run up a hill. Running optional.
- Big Show lectures someone on their conditioning. Big Show!
- Michelle misses her kids. (Though seemingly not her husband.)
- And she quits. (Thanks for not dragging it out.)
- Cheerleaders with creepy winks.
- Stacy Keibler, for about two minutes.
- Martin won the skills challenge, forcing me to figure out which guy is Martin
- Luke looks into his own eyes and tells us what he sees
- Mickael really wants to be the evil guy of the season.
- Rima, Mickael, Ryan in the bottom 3.
- Rima gets to stay to get more help.
- Mickael vs Ryan promo battle has Ryan come up strong. Mickael knew it was over before the belt was taken away.

This show was Rima heavy. Next week's show is going to be Rima heavy. Huh.

Ryan was trained by Tracy Smothers, who knows both hokey shtick and how to deliver a promo. Good thing Ryan picked up both.

I'm not sure they do a good enough job of explaining why some people's technique is good and why some is bad. It's pretty obvious when something is screwed up, and I'd bet the trainers do a fair job of explaining this to the trainees, but it's not communicated to the audience well.

I was amused that Mickael called Ryan a weiner when he looks like a literal dickhead. Seriously. Go back and pause some scenes with him in them. His head looks like a glans.

I was happy to see him destroyed, then sent home.

Loved when he was concerned about what Jersey will think after his cheerleading gig. As opposed to his fully shaved, sweaty men in tights pretending to fight gig.

Skidmark destroyed that promo. Promo for your life and you come up shaky and whiny with nothing better to do. The most memorable thing about his stint on the show was his fashion hat. Well done, Jersey Oddjob.

I totally expected Ryan to be gone and he delivered big time.

Rima is playing smart. She has no experience, but she is working hard. Asking for one-on-one training synched it for her.

Afro was a dumbass to come in out of shape and it may cost him.

Apparently a few of the people here (Afro included) were told that they didn't make the cut and only called back to be on the show days before filming started. It looks like WWE certainly set-up a few people to look like out of shape idiots for their cameras.

Rima has to have some kind of a deal through Trump. No way they'd keep her past day 1 without that. She hopes to get her acting career going or something, so they'll keep her as long as they agreed to and then cut her loose.

I got to watch it last night. By far this is the best thing WWE is doing right. Austin continues to impress me every night and shows why he is a ring general. Rhima has been in bottom 3 two of the last three times, asks for extra help, gets it and skips out of there while two better people are left holding the bag. I believe she is only surviving due to Vince being Trumps BFF and the feather in the cap of WWE having a quantity like Miss America. She should be gone especially since she has no technique. Out of everything they have done, technique is a huge part of what they do for a living if you can't do that you are endangering yourself and others.

It was cool to see Stacy again and dumb of Jeremiah not to know who she was. It was also nice to see the trainers notice Luke was coasting since he seems to think he has this all wrapped up now that Matt is gone. I am pretty much cheering for anyone, but Luke and Rhima at this point since I like the underdog feel the rest of the constants have.

She is Miss USA, not Miss America. They are two separate beauty contests.

This x100. Mickael sucked. He came off like a douchebag and he looked like an ugly cross between Maven and Mr. Clean. I wanted him dead for the way he had his head turned and never looked Ryan in the face during Ryan's promo. What a piece of shit that guy is. And his hat sucks too.

Trish found it "hokey" but I liked Ryan Funking it after every bump. And when it came time to cut a promo, Ryan brought it. He deserves an I Bring It! shirt because he brought it so hard. You could see on Stone Cold's face how much he dug the promo. By contrast, Austin could have thrown up all over Mickael's whiny ass promo.

I also liked Martin stepping up, no longer being Donny Osmond. "From now on my name is Martin!" Thing is, Donny Osmond's a better ring name.

I was pretty annoyed at what's her name quitting. I know people who tried out for Tough Enough and could have done very well on the show, and she took a spot from one of them then tossed it away. Being away from your kid is hard? Yes, but THAT IS THE BUSINESS YOU CHOSE. She took a spot from someone else who was deserving. Shitty.

However, Austin gently speaking with her, hugging her and wishing her off surprised me. Stone Cold never ceases to surprise on this show.

In fact, I do see a breakout superstar coming out of Tough Enough and his name is Stone Cold Steve Austin. I see money in this kid. He's got it all. He could be the biggest WWE Superstar ever.

This and Ryan's comments from last week reminded me of the first season of TE. The apparent ringer to win the whole thing walked out after Triple H lectured the roster on the road schedule. Even the other competitors were shocked, feeling they might finally have a chance to win with his absence.

I think Michelle left because she, like Matt, claimed to have prior ring experience yet couldn't exploit that to make headway. She felt the sword hanging overhead and cracked.

I really won't be surprised if we don't see a Mania match from Austin out of this. I was a huge Austin fan back in the day, but to be honest, I got tired of the schtick toward the end of the run. TE is giving us a lot more depth to Stone Cold. You can tell he is thankful for the WWE, but loves the craft of PRO WRESTLING and doesn't just parrot Vince's Sports Entertainment philosophy. It also seems like he truly regrets the toil that his career took on his family life.

I think a lot of fans are getting a new appreciation for him. After his comments about being in ring shape if he had to have the money, and his praise for Punk, I can totally see an angle brewing where Punk goes after the TE winner and Austin comes in to save the day.

Not just the ring work (which they tried to explain as her being distracted), but Michelle was dying on that run. She was going home soon one way or another.

(I won't be around next Tuesday, so someone else should feel free to start the thread.)

Did I hear her say in the 2nd episode that she was "largely self-trained?"

So...she was a yarder? And claimed to the biz's biggest star ever that that was "experience?"

If that's the case, she couldn't have left too quickly. GTFO.

Without knowing more about her background, I took that "self-trained" excuse as a nicely inflated lie to give her a lot of alibi wiggleroom in either direction (long-ago ring time versus, I dunno, jello wrestling). Her first-day ring exercises showed she wasn't that far ahead of Rima who, as Austin noted last week, was doing about as much as Matt within two weeks.

If there's anyone I'm rooting for so far, it's Ivelisse only because she's not doing anything to make me dislike her. The editing makes her look like she's showing up to work without mugging or preening. Last week, she showed some hair yanked out during skills and noted it happened every day. No drama, no whining. I appreciate that.

Compare that to Rima, who wouldn't be there if not for the tiara (even if she did outrun half the pack last week). She's fighting to prove something about Miss USA as much as herself. She's got more pressure and more leeway. She's coming into the show with a gimmick I'm not digging.

From what I understand, the young lady who left hadn't been in the ring for quite a while and realized soon that she was too out of shape to jump back in like this.

Hardly a yarder, from what I'm told.

Didn't Matt say last week that he did gymnastics in his youth?
He would have been good for the cheerleading. Too bad for him

Jereiah deserves lots of credit for standing there with that smile and having a good time with it.

Mickael is a jerk and it's good that he's gone.
I did expect them to keep him around longer for the drama he could provide.

Rima did exactly what the trainers seem to want.
If you have an issue you speak up. She did by asking for extra training. That at least proves she wants to be there.

Tonight was probably the first time they had Ivelisse (sp?) say something. And have we even heard from Alicia Fox' sister?

Ryan's selling was a bit over the top.
Doing that one routine over and over must be tiring.
And Luke was kinda bitter about losing that contest.

Rima better do something right next time.
I don't think she can afford being there the 3rd time in a row. If she doesn't get cut the others might start resenting her. Unless of course that's what they want.

Yeah, I was actually surprised to discover that you can find flyers for and pictures of her matches from as recently as 2009 (including ones with Gail Kim) and there's a youtube video of her having a match in 2004. I don't think you can say her skill level ever got past beginner, and from what I can tell she never even got to the point where she even had ring gear, but she did in fact have at least a handful of indie matches.

Interesting. I never cared enough to research for myself, but I assumed from the beginning that she was full of crap and her claims of prior experience were completely manufactured.

Yeah, I'm having a slow night. She's definitely at least partially full of crap; she made the "11 years" claim, but that youtube video (the link for which is below, forgive me if there's a way to embed it or something I'm unaware of) is from 2004 and claims that to be her rookie year; based off the skill level on display, if it ain't true, it outta be.
