Somehow I wound up on the WWE email list...anyways, I just received a survey where they want feedback. Some of the questions are very interesting:

My only problem is that the questions all seem to skew towards general prespective. Ex: Wanna see more legendary superstars?(Rock, Hogan, Austin, Taker, Triple H...) I mean come on at least give us a choice. The question should have been:

Which superstars do you enjoy watching on a regular basis? (Check all that apply) And then went from there.

Hey WWE! If you don't ask the right questions, you don't get the right answers.

I got the same e-mail and was just on my way here to post about it. There's also a second link in the e-mail to a page of 4 different surveys.

http://surveys.wwe.com

And I agree with bubbles, the questions are quite generalized and could stand to be a bit more specific. But perhaps this is a sign that they might actually start listening to the fans like they've always said they do.

I like the fact that they asked about brand only PPVs. It makes me think that maybe, just maybe, they'll reconsider them and decide against it. Honestly, a single brand PPV is gonna have a lot of filler matches. Hell, they couldn't even come up with 8 meaningful matches last night (Rikishi/Sean O'Haire anyone?).

Your Official Sunday, April 13, 2003 Randomly Selected Wiener Of The Day Champion says....

I went to the WWE Survey site when I saw the link on 1Wrestling. I have only fillied out 2 cause they are way too long. But I did notice when I tried to go back and refill out the same ones, it would not let me. So that shows me they really seem to care about these surveys then those stupid WWE.com polls where you can vote 5,000 times.

Finally made it to the bottom. I think the last inquiry is most telling:

"43. People I know who used to be fans might start watching WWE™ shows to see old WrestleMania® shows and Superstars from the past"

Given the supposed propensity of the writing staff to cater to Vince's tastes, I wouldn't be surprised if the survey isn't designed to generate a response that Vince would like, even if us "smarks" vote honestly. For all intents and purposes, these questions and answers will be *right*.

Too funny. The WWE's so desperate that they want to turn to the internet for ideas yet they still want to ignore the smarts.

They have also been giving this survey out at live shows for a copy of some WWE mag as well I hear. How can any company become so clueless so fast. The WWE has now become Office Space.

Intriguing stories that make me think-

Entertaining stories that don't make me think-

If I could be more involved with shows (polls, surveys)-

The whole Enron/Capital One mentality is now your company. Yes company. It isn't fun or entertaining. It's business. No bookers that know what they are doing. Demote them. Hire 100 marketing specialist to lay of the last 5 people that know anything about wrestling.

The wrestling boom of the 90's was ALL about taking risks and pushing the boundries. In the last year the closest we have come to that is corpse fucking and digging up old wrestlers(also read: more corpse fucking).

Don't worry though. I hear the WWE has a new plan. From now on they are going to put cover sheets on all TPS reports before they go out.

    31. I would buy a pay-per-view for $34.95 featuring Raw® Superstars ONLY

BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

They're dreaming if they think people will shell out $35 to see Test/Steiner on a PPV.

And to boost morale, they'll make it Hawaiian Shirt Day on selected Raw and Smackdown shows, where the wrestlers have the option of wearing a Hawaiian shirt out to the ring if they choose to.

-Wanna see more legendary superstars?(Rock, Hogan, Austin, Taker, Triple H)

I had to laugh a bit there, when did HHH become legendary. He might be a legendary illusionist ala David Copperfield making the Statue of Liberty disappear, HHH made half the viewership disappear... Also find it funny that I guy who's supposedly in the top of his game is on a list with 3 guys who's literally on their last legs and a guy who's leaving wrestling for Hollywood.

Also agree it's really a dumb openended question.

- Improve PPV: More naughty or suggestive parts

I find the word "naughty' disturbing as well. Of course the option of LESS wasteful and stupid stuff like "naughty parts" to improve the PPV never crossed their minds. Didn't Armageddon bomb huge even with the Torrie/Dawn lesbo hotel kiss footage, morons!... It also never crossed their minds to add an option for more diverse and better athletes wrestling in main events.

All the options they gave in this category are stupid after the price decrease the other 7 options is nothing that I think will improve the PPV's.

AstroidBoy Sayz-Waaay too long. I started to fill it out, then got bored.

I wonder if they can take that into account of how many people closed it half way through, so they could know the attention spans of their audience... AstroidBoy closed it half way through = 3-4 minute matches due to audience low attention spans

Tech/privacy question: Anybody know what they base this on? i.e. What else from my machine (that I don't explicitly tell them) are they grabbing so they can tell whether I've filled it out already?

(Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not all out to get me.)

Most likely they place a cookie on your hard drive. This doesn't contain anything except information you give them yourself or variables (for example, the time you take the survey) they choose to add to it. Only the site that gives you a cookie can retrieve that particular cookie.

Alternatively or additionally, they might be logging your IP address and restricting access from that address for a set amount of time.

In either case, they're not doing anything that violates privacy. The only way they could grab anything from your machine is if you're running a web browser that hasn't been patched for security vulnerabilities. (In other words, if you're running Internet Explorer and haven't ran Windows Update to get the security updates.) If you are vulnerable to something like that, though, WWE isn't one of the sites I'd be too worried about taking advantage of it.

I actually enjoyed filling out the surveys. Especially the "WWE Magazine" and "Digital Information". Here's hoping I can soon get a WWE-based cell phone that'll let me play WWE games and read backstage rumors!

I scoured and scoured the survey WWE E-mailed me...but nowhere could I find the question I REALLY wanted:

(60.) You would like to see the signing of La Parka to WWE.
