Those five women overshadow pretty much all the other divas (Victoria, Trish, Molly, Jazz, Lita, Ivory, Nidia, and Jacqueline.) that actually earn there keep by putting on some rather decient matches. Come on, even Lilian has better wrestling skill than half of those five women! That's sad.
Personally, I'm tired of seeing those five women just prance around and look cute (even though I kinda like Torrie and Stacy). It's like those threads going around about cutting the rosters down- if they aren't doing anything constructive, hand them the pink slip.
I'm not even sure why they brought Sable back. All she's done is make out with Vince, Train, and Ernest. AND pose for playboy...

Women have always been eyecandy in wrestling and women will always be eyecandy in wrestling. Why do you think Jazz always works heel. Nobody wants to cheer an ugly broad whether she can work or not. What's morally right isn't the point. What sells is.
I'm sure it's quite the uproar backstage as well. Give me a break you think that most these guys care? The WWE might as well sign women who are willing to get naked first and then teach them to wrestle rather than sign women who can wrestle and won't pose naked. It's the way the business is today and it's good business at that. Cross promoting with Playboy is one of the only cross promotions that hasn't blown up in their faces. So, why are we acting all shocked and appalled here people?

Yes I did. But I guess I must have worded it wrong. I mean I can understand why they are upset that they signed 2 non-wrestling females. Like the article said they SHOULD be trying to get more female wrestlers for the show.

That never happens. By the way, less than 2 and a half years on the Mark Henry contract of doom), then the 'boys/girls in the back' have a right to be upset. But, if its short money/short term, its not hurting them, and at least it keeps talent from being contaminated by Torrie and Sable.

Eye candy just has to be pretty, but the wrestlers have to be pretty (yes, they do) and be able to work, AND be able to work above average. Look at Lita, for example. They were all set to push her to the top of the division when she came back, but the crowds shit all over her matches. She still gets a good reaction when she comes out, but she's not at the level of the other women, and even the regular crowds know it. If the company wants the lady wrestlers to be taken seriously, and it really seems like they do, then the women need to be better. So I can justify making more quick, frivolous signings of eye candy, but being a lot more selective about the actual talent. | Barbwire Mike

Despite that Victoria, Trish and Molly get far more TV time than *any* of those other five, except maybe Dawn Marie, who it's made clear is of no real worth besides being a slut.
Furthermore, saying Lita, Nidia or Jacqueline (or Ivory) "earn their keep" is pretty questionable, since they're all pretty terrible at wrestling. If they wanted good wrestlers, there are places to find them. They don't care, obviously. And I don't think it matters, since no matter how terrible Lita is, people still love her.

I'm sensing some sarcasm, so I will elaborate.
What I meant was that I think she is being overshadowed in the sense that, really, when was the last time we saw Trish in a real gimmick match? (the bra and panties match against Jackie didn't exactly count, it was more of a joke. I'm talking about gravy matches, paddle on a pole, lingerie, those kinds.) She hasn't been in Playboy, and isn't making out with Jericho at every available opportunity. She dresses somewhat conservatively, and isn't 'sucking' up to the boss for favors. Trish wrestles, plain and simple, and aside from the Diva of the Year award, isn't getting a whole lot of 'diva style' publicity.
