Well, the WWE has finally done it. With the inclusion of Grenier and Dupree, they've pretty much become the only Wrestling Federation to include at least one wrestler from every major country. I've compiled a list of which international wrestlers have been in the WWE.

NOTE: For the sake of keeping this list short, I'm only listing the PRIME EXAMPLES in this category.

USA: Kurt Angle, Lex Luger, and, um... "Mr. America"

Canada: Lance Storm, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit

Mexico: Los Guerreros, Essa Rios

South America: Um... Giant Gonzales?

United Kingdom: William Regal

Germany: ?

France: Sylvan Grenier, Rene Dupree

Italy: The FBI

Finland: Ludvig Borga

Russia: Nikolai Volkov

Africa: Kamala, Akeem(?)

The Middle East: The Iron Sheik

China: ?

Japan: Tajiri, Funaki, TAKA Michinoku

Australia: Nathan Jones

The Islands: Rikishi, Jimmy Snuka, Jamal & Rosey

And there you have it. If I'm missing any, feel free to let me know.

Out of curiousity, when did South America and Africa become countries?

edit: And I believe Andre the Giant from Grenoble, France covered French participation a few decades ago.

Yes he was.

How about the guys back in the day? Wasn't Bruno Sammartino foreign or did he just talk funny? And was Bobo Brazil actually from Brazil?

You also forgot the Bushwackers who I believe were from New Zealand.

And lastly, Jeff Hardy from Imag-i-nation!

Saying that somebody is French doesn't mean they're necessarily from France. Both Grenier and Dupree are from Quebec, Canada. They are French-speaking Canadians.

Bruno was Italian. Not sure if Bobo was actually from Brazil. I don't think The Iron Sheik is actually from Iran either. I remember hearing way back that he was actually some Italian guy from NY.

I thought Nord was from "Norwegia", but I could be getting my bad Verne Gagne ideas mixed up. And lastly, how could we all forget a true hotbed of wrestlers throughout the years...Parts Unknown?

Edit: I also forgot Hack Myers who was from "The Last House On The Left"

Giant Gonzalez/El Gigante is from Argentina I think. Alex Wright (Berlyn) - Germany. [edit] Kamala was supposed to be from Uganda wasn't he? I'm pretty sure Akkem isn't from Africa, that was just a joke.

Maxx Payne/Man Mountian Rock was from "The State of Nuforia"

Luna's WWE bio listed he as from "The Other Side of Darkness"

Does "The Future" count? 'Cause there's two tag teams and a Cyborg that could be listed.

Savio Vega was from Puerto Rico. And before he was billed as Damien Demento, he was Mondo Kleen, from China. Probably not true, though...

And Dino Bravo had a French manager named, get this, Frenchy.
