Cited from pro wrestling.net. A WGN exec sent an email saying the last show will be April, 7. Can we just get Sunday Night Heat back that worked real well for PPV nights.
This wouldn't be so much a cancellation as a failure to renew by WGN America - it's been almost exactly two years, yeah?
It might still air in some countries - or it might just get replaced by "Tough Enough" - what I'm trying to say is could we hold off on the speculation?

Isn't that the exact definition of cancellation? :-)
If they were the ONLY network showing this show, I would concede the point....but I'm not ready to do that yet.
Via Wikipedia and cross-checked against wwe.com/worldwide, a quick list of countries shown as currently airing NXT AND Superstars: Australia France India Italy Malaysia New Zealand Philippines South Africa United Kingdom

Airing Superstars but not NXT Romania

I'll meet you part of the way...cancelled in the United States.
Thanks to John, I just read this carefully couched statement from Alvarez over at F4W (f4wonline.com):
Superstars will likely become an Internet-only/overseas show after its run on WGN ends in April.
IF true - and Alvarez has made sure to leave himself a weaselly out with his use of "likely" - this would be another example of "hey, maybe pay attention to Good Ol' CRZ because he kinda still knows what he's talking about" and a reason for you to take me seriously in that other thread, too. ;-)

The podcast was amusing, as Bryan jumped straight to "a dozen people will likely be fired", and Dave was immediately the voice of reason/voice of CRZ. So maybe Bryan is holding back in hopes of leaving himself the possibility of being right.
It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects. "Well. Shit." -hansen9j Go Pack Go! (Champs!) Let's Go Riders!

I think we will see a bunch of firings later this spring, though. Even if Superstars survives, the fact is that they usually cut the roster after Mania, and you can't forget that they've added a lot of names to the roster this year with all the NXT people. I'm sure they plan on having a couple of Tough Enough contestants ending up getting signed as well. So I have to think some people are going to go.
- Bully Ray (I'm calling a Brooke heel turn) - AJ Styles. I think he's the guy to unseat Bully somewhere down the line. - Storm and Gunner - Hardy, Joe and Magnus. I like Magnus, he needs a push. Of course, Hardy will be the star of the show here though....
