Man, it must be a cold day in hell. Internet wrestling fans are upset that someone wouldn't lay down FOR Shawn. I guess Hogan's the only guy that can help everyone kick the 'HBK sucks because he won't put anyone over' habit.
Edit: Simmons column reminded me, was I the only person that thought it was odd when Cole mentioned he adopted his sons? That's a level of realism you don't get from a lot of announcers.
Originally posted by ekedolphinBenoit beating Jordan so quickly was awesome, which is exactly what they should have done last month at the GAB. Maybe now the U.S. Title will mean something. Aw, hell, the U.S. Title is already rehabilitated just based on who's carrying it. Benoit/Eddie for the U.S. Title at No Mercy, anyone?
Umm...no. Instead of Eddie/Benoit for the millionth time. How about a fresh match and feud in Christian/Benoit? The last time Benoit faced Eddie, Eddie totally bagged it.
Guerrero and Benoit weren't even on the same brand for a year and a half so I don't see how one TV match and one throwaway match at One Night Stand makes that stale. However, I'd rather see Benoit-Regal than either of those options.
I rather suspect that, rather than Benoit-Christian or Benoit-Regal, what we're going to get is Benoit-JBL. Orlando's his man, after all, and the U.S. title is the kind of belt a jingoistic egomaniac like Bradshaw would probably think should belong to him.
I actually wouldn't mind that feud, oddly enough, especially if Benoit wins and they save up him and Christian for somewhere down the line (RR/WM time, maybe?)

They've gone at it on PPV, RAW, and Smackdown on many occassions. I'd just like to see something a little different.
Mysterio/Benoit is not a match we've seen nearly enough.

Hogan is old, Hogan is very old. Some of you are saying "leave Hogan! How much longer are you gonna be making people lie down for you?" But it doesnt make a difference- because there's like maybe a few hundred smarks that see Hogan and say, "ah- there's that douchebag that wont put anyone over" And then, there's Several Thousand and more fans that see Hulk Hogan, and cheer for him- chant his name, push him to get back into the ring even though he's falling apart from the waist down; And want him so desperately to be the hero theyve had for so long... so, dont put so much of the blame on the old man. It be the people fault man.
SHELTON BENJAMIN- Im sure some people on this message board know Im a big Shelton fan, so of course I am disappointed that the greatest new athlete in WWE seemed to be moving up, performed so brilliantly at Wrestlemania and beyond; but wasnt involved to any extent at summerslam.
BENOIT- As others have said, the U.S. Title isnt worthless anymore.
...I was watching Monday Night Raw and then Vince came out, and announced that he would be ending the Brand Split. It filled my heart with joy that we would finally have a card that even WWE could do something with, then- My alarm sounded and I woke up to go to school.
I was at the MCI Center on Sunday and had a great time. I went with my wife who's not a fan, and my cousin who's a big fan. We bought tickets three days before the event, so we ended up with an obstructed view behind the entrance. I wanted to see some great matches and card looked great. I was disappointed in the beginning with the short matches of Benoit-Jordan, Angle-Eugene and Hardy-Edge. Benoit and Angle are real stars. Anyone who faces those guys will get booed, sorry Eugene. I wasn't that into the ladder match because the pacing was too slow from what I was expecting from Rey-Eddie. High spot - 5 minute rest - repeat for 15 min. The match was too stupidly booked with the family element.
The main reason I wanted to go was to see Undertaker in person, and I was not disappointed. The fans had major respect for Taker. Orton was cheered by the ADD bratty kids, like the one sitting next to me and spilling his soda on my feet. Cena was hugely over with my half of the arena, but was Jericho on the other half. We had major fun with the Let's Go chant and it seemed like even Jericho was enjoying it. I had no idea it was going to be captured on TV. I was chanting for Jericho while my wife was chanting for Cena. She thought he was hot. Batista-JBL just wasn't as fun, even though Batista's the hometown hero. His character just doesn't shine through like Cena, unfortunately. Hogan-Michaels was good, but not great. Shawn was great bumping for Hulk. Even my wife became a Shawn Michaels fan when she saw how much body control he had with his bumps and making Hogan look excellent. I was really expecting Hogan to lose because he could barely move and Shawn deserved it more even if I'm not a big Shawn fan. I still had a great time. Just wish I had better seats and could hear commentary at live events.
Quick, name 3 things you liked about RAW this week and last week? I find the negativity (even if its somewhat accurate yet overly cynical) to be easier to take for most people if you sprinkle in some positive thoughts.
