Cracked me up that Heyman yelled "Here comes the pain!" before a German Suplex. I hope Cena doesn't get a neck injury from all that. Too bad there was no blood, vomit, or urine.

My Summerslam Live stream was pretty flawless on PC... I was worried because they just went global and the last PPV was freezing so frequently.

Two spots I can't believe they missed:

#1) During the part where Seth Rollins escapes all the lumberjacks & is heading to the back, only to run into three random lumberjacks - why the heck wasn't that Roman Reigns?

@2) I was SO HOPING Brock would pull out the ultra old-school heel move after the last F5 of "1...2...he pulls him up!" and then deliver another 3 or 4 F5s. That would have been the icing on the awesome cake.

I also have no idea how they handle Brock dropping the belt. They can feed some folks of varying credibility to him for a while if need be (Big Show, a returning Angle, any number of properly booked upper midcarders, maybe even a face-turned Triple H), but when they blow off the monster heat they've got on him, it better be to someone that can carry the company for at least a few years. Are you really going to waste that on a banged up Daniel Bryan, or a returning CM Punk, who might very well decide to quit again three weeks after winning the belt? (as an aside, maybe they could convince Punk to work the Rumble-Mania stretch with Brock, come out last at Mania, lose, and go back into retirement). They're nowhere near having the guy to put that heat on.

You brought up something in here that I've been trying to figure out -- if they go the "who will be our savior" route many are predicting, that -- by definition/necessity -- means a face turn for The Authority. Is that doable?

WWE may have to be careful that Brock doesn't "accidentally" turn face when/if The Authority decides he's too off the reservation to be champ. While I could easily foresee a part of the storyline with a face Brock, the payoff screams for a heel.

Everyone in the Authority - even Vince - has been faces at some point in time for some angle (wait, maybe not Corporate Kane). They could have Triple H come out next week and start an angle with Brock as the face.

Two points -- first, yes, everyone has been face at some point in time. But has the collective The Authority (or similar) been a face? WWE thrives on the Evil Corporation setup; can they turn the entire organizational structure face? It'll definitely be interesting to watch. And second, turning Brock face is possible (and might happen whether they like it or not), but harms the theoretical end-game of "who is the savior of the WWE who can deliver us from Brock?"

That said, there's no real indication that "who is the savior" IS the actual end-game; that's just theory at this point. It could very well be that a demand to allow Rollins to cash in the briefcase provides the impetus for a face turn for Brock when he refuses. But then it's yet another "The Authority throws the kitchen sink at a wrestler" storyline instead of the fresher "The Authority realizes they've screwed up and need to make amends" storyline.

It probably doesn't count, but The Authority (at least the Trips/Steph core) always plays the face in NXT.

Everything is awesome.

Nothing saying Rollins can't have a falling out with The Authority sometime down the year and still use his briefcase.

I figured the authority just sort of disappears into the background (at some point, it could happen) and not be the driving force of the story and then it's just "who is man enough to topple Brock" without any political reasoning behind it.

The interesting thing is that Brock is a total tweener.
Not because of Heyman, not because of him fighting Cena but simply because The Beast is an atraction that you do not wish to boo unless absolutely needed (like the Taker match)
He can stare down HHH and get face pops, he can take apart Ambrose and get boos. Awesome for business!

I really liked the "Jericho Go Back To Toronto" sign.

Hope he gave them the famous, "I'm from Winnipeg, you idiot!"

I'm sorry, but did I just read that they should push Test and Val Venis as main eventers? Give me a break. They have tried to push Test forever and he will never get to the ME level. Same for Val. I like Val but he has IC written all over him.
