Already there have been a few "future endeavored" wrestlers in the last couple of weeks and expect a few more to go.

Since the loss of ECW, some people are going to lose any spotlight they had on the "third-tier" brand and get lost in the shuffle on either Raw or Smackdown.

Some people I can see being "future endeavored" include Zack Ryder (woo woo woo), Curt Hawkins (surprised to see his name on the roster, along with a few others), Jimmy Wang Yang, Slam Master J, and some others

There are a couple others I did not mention but I wouldn't be surprised to see either of these names to be off the rosters soon.

Your thoughts and opinions, of other people you could see going (or would like to see gone)................

Ryder and Hawkins, no way. They will join Baretta and Croft as the Dudebusters stable after the draft I bet.

They never release the guys you expect them to, so expect floating midcarders like Swagger and Shelton to be surprisingly released. Maybe Zeke if he doesn't work out on SD, Kozlov, and Vance Archer. Slam Master J is likely, but Wang Yang has some value as a jobber.

Koslov I can also see going but Shelton Benjamin? He has been in the WWE for quite some time now so at this point, he has a safety net in the WWE (and besides, he is in every MITB match and has to pull at least one or two "holy sh**" type moves).

Swagger has fallen off the map but that isn't his fault; the guy can wrestle good matches and is a good heel. He is lost in the shuffle on Raw and would benefit going to Smackdown where the shuffle isn't as bad compared to the "flagship brand".

I have a hard time seeing Swagger being released.

WWE has a booking cycle. They push a young guy to the moon, then job him until his hair falls out, and start pushing him again.

They did it with Punk, they did it to a lesser extent with MVP, and they've done it with Swagger. Swagger's on the way back up. He was given a surprising amount of offense in his chamber qualifying match with HHH and he qualified for MITB. I'm not predicting a Swagger victory, but he's in my top 2 of the guys who are currently qualified.

IMO the only thing that has fans confused with Swagger is that he has been leapfrogged by Hornswoggle's large cousin Sheamus.

I agree Swagger isn't going anywhere anytime soon but he has been booked brutally bad since being moved to Raw. He badly needs to be moved over to Smackdown. He probably would have been better off staying on ECW than being on Raw and doing nothing the past 6 months. The only guys he's gone over on Raw is Evan Bourne and Santino.

I can see Swagger having a good feud or matches with Jericho or Edge; I will assume Edge will stay face for awhile now and Jericho has been a top heel for the past year. Where would Swagger fit in all of this? Would he go back to being a pretty good heel or switch to being a face?

The lottery is coming up shortly so I hope Swagger gets to Smackdown and become relevant. I think he could be a stronghold in the IC area where he could be built up to be a future main-eventer. This isn't another Koslov where he can't connect and have good matches because Jack Swagger can do both those things.

I know the WWE is busy with their "prodigy" Drew McIntyre and working on a couple other wrestlers as well; but the WWE should properly work on Swagger and I will agree with Rudoublesedoublel that they do book a young guy to the moon then job him and eventually start pushing him again.....that is a vicious and constant cycle the WWE uses.

Since when does being in the WWE for a while as a midcarder guarantee you won't be released? It's certainly possible they'll 'run out of ideas for him'. They've already tried him on Smackdown like 5 times now, maybe a move to RAW would be good.

Ans as for them pushing new guys to the moon and then jobbing them hard, not really. Punk was not 'pushed to the moon and then jobbed hard'. Neither were Morrison, Miz, or any other big time midcarder right now. Although they may be going that route with McIntyre =/

Being a midcarder does not guarantee a permanent job but Shelton Benjamin is still a pretty good wrestler, been with the WWE for awhile and is seemingly one of the few wrestlers not caught off-guard with the wellness policy. The WWE has tried to move him past the mid-card level but it hasn't worked. Having him in the IC or US title mix is better for him or having him with a good mouthpiece as a unified tag team champion might help.

Shelton Benjamin still has some miles to give and it's not like he has screwed up substantially in the public eye during his journeys. He had good matches with HBK and Jericho in the past and I am willing to bet that he can still have good matches with those people or people with some athleticism. I can see Carlito going before Shelton because he has not been given the push that was "promised" to him so I can see him going based on resentment (though I think Carlito is a good heel and was good when he good when he first came in but the WWE has put him on the backburner for quite some time now.

Shelton doesn't have the personality to elevate himself but still has good athleticism and can still have a good match; as far as I am concerned, he won't be going anywhere unless his contract comes up and he decides to leave.

All of this is true, but most of this could've been said the same of Charlie Haas and he's no longer working for this company. Being a good worker and having a history of good matches (though not always good matches) is not enough to guarantee your spot in WWE.

Shelton is in the same spot he was in the day he started, and they've actually tried to do more with him than that during his stint. It may not be his fault, but WWE has plenty of access to guys who show the ability to be good workers and don't have the history of failure Shelton does.

The unmentioned point in Shelton's favor is he's a minority, in a company that is always conscious of it's racial and ethic makeup (onscreen, at least) and it's a lot harder to find WWE-ready minorities on the indies than white guys.
