I wasn't paying full attention to the show tonight, but I guess the big news is that Vickie Guerrero is now the GM of Smackdown, thanks to Vince McMahon. Brad Maddox campaigned to become the GM of both shows, but got brushed off in the end.
I'll leave it to others who were paying more attention to fill in the other details. I didn't see where the supposed Randy Orton injury happened in the main event, myself, but maybe someone else did!

Ok, honestly...does Vickie Guerrero have some sort of blackmail over the McMahons? There's no other explanation as to why we're on Vickie Guerrero: Evil Authority Figure, Part 4! Her schtick is about as played out as...well...Vince McMahon's.
I believe the injury came when Orton got knocked off the apron to the floor by Del Rio's kick towards the end. That looked pretty stiff, and he was really favoring his neck after that.
Thought it was a good show overall.
"As you may have read in Robert Parker's Wine Newsletter, 'Donaghy Estates tastes like the urine of Satan, after a hefty portion of asparagus.'" Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock
The Vickie segment was super anticlimactic. Her authority figure schtick is totally played-out at this point, and the possibility of her managing Ryback (a guy who desperately needs someone to talk for him) was way, way more exciting.
Originally posted by ekedolphinI know the real reason-- Fozzy tour-- but how did Jericho get written out this time? Not another punt to the head, I hope.
After losing a match to Curtis Axel due to Heyman-ference, The Ryback marched down to visit Jericho. Jericho tried to fight back, but ate a Meathook and the Shellshocked. The Ryback added a kick to the ribs for good measure.
It wasn't a brutal demolition like the Kofi triple-table powerbombs, so I don't know for sure that Jericho is written out yet, but we'll see next week.
Originally posted by LexusI used to think they kept Vickie around to honor Eddie, but "Excuse Me" has become instant heel reaction.
Yup. Her "schtick" still gets a hotter reaction than 75% of the roster easily. The only problem I have with this is it seems to leave Booker T with nowhere to go...except perhaps the commentary table, and I'm not sure we need that again. (I'm seeing Teddy Long's future in the Brad Maddox administration.)
I'm not sure what the point of removing Vickie from Raw in the first place was, other than as a small plot point on the Them Crazy McMahons saga. But that segment did a big rating and Vickie got big heat despite not doing much in months, hence more Vickie on TV right away. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if Triple H thinks Booker T should be the Smackdown GM and Stephanie McMahon thinks Teddy Long should be the Smackdown GM and this goes on for a bit. Especially since, like Z says, there wouldn't seem to be anything else for Booker T to do. Except maybe manage the Usos he so dearly loves. Maybe something like Ryback (w/ Vickie) vs. My Boy Sheamus (w/ Booker) vs. You Will Face Randy Orton (w/ Teddy) for the GMship at SummerSlam.
Speaking of Oos,
Originally posted by Dr UnlikelyAny chance it could be Henry/Usos vs. Shield? Just to see Henry's reaction to the Uso's entrance.

Of course we need that again. Move Sin Cara to SmackDown permanently, have him wrestle once a week, and have Booker cover that match. I want to hear him talk about Sin Cara's intense expressions, and kicks in "the mask area."
Or if they've still got Nash on a contract, we can have a Chet Lemon/Black Snow reunion.
