| #2 Posted on 14.2.03 1316.37 | No offense as its very cool watching the guy wrestle, but I REALLY cannot see him having any future with WWE. He just makes too many moves look horribly exposed when he does them. Irish whips and any sort of rope running in particular. I'm sure he'll get some insta-pub, but I just don't think he can fit in up in WWE. But hey, hopefully I'll be wrong, as I'd love to see the kid earn millions and be an inspiration to everyone that they can overcome any obstacle. I just don't see it happening.

Exaclty my thought. Vince was probably thinking "Hey, NWA has this unique guy people may get intereted in; let's sign him just for shits and giggles..."

A more frightenting statement has never been posted. If they feed him to Albert, I will be sick to my stomach. They should team him up with The Hurricane and have them be a tag team. This way he only spends limited time in the ring and can be "saved" by his partner when he plays the face in peril.
So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one---big hitter, the Lama---long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Don't be so sure. There's bound to be two things that can happen: 1. The NWA: TNA guys will feel resentment towards being cut or ignored by WWE, and/or they aren't welcome back by Vince. or 2. A grass-roots thing could really take shape and push TNA into a legit contender, making guys want to stay, despite some rough times. | It's False

| #12 Posted on 14.2.03 1457.42 | I say it's a good move on WWE's part. Because this buzz about Tenacious Z is the greatest thing driving people to get NWA:TNA PPVs. So without him, they have to start all over again. Plus when you fire someone like D'Lo and get an extra $350,000/year, then you can split the extra cash up on tons of new guys [[or just spend all of it plus more on one guy like Goldberg--your choice, WWE!]]

i agree. basically, the wwe isn't giving anyone who's been with them in the past, and faded away, any second chances these days. that is the talents pool that TNA has to benefit from.
however, i still think TNA has no chance of succeeding unless they land a spot on basic cable. i have never ordered their PPV, nor will i ever. and most casual fans have never heard of TNA. where would they have? | Parts Unknown

Remember that the WWE casual fans (and probably 90% of those in the know) have never seen Tenacious Z, much less seen him wrestle. I have no idea what the guy even looks like. So they are pretty much safe to debut him any ol' way they please. That being said, it would be cool if they did one of those "random guy in the crowd" angles where Z is beaten up by some heel while he is sitting at ringside. Then he challenges the heel to a match, and everyone thinks he is toast, but he kicks the heel's ass with ONE LEG. YEAH BABY

I guess Flea gets his wish, and It's False, has your feelings for Tenacious Z changed over the past couple of weeks?
In all honesty, I've never seen the kid in the ring. But from a public relations standpoint, Vince and Company can potentially make a killing off of the feel good story of the physically challenged kid who makes it big.
This may give the Federation a positive boost with the mainstream media that has been missing for some time.
Before we doom it into failure, let's sit back and see how Vince play's his cards with this one.

| #18 Posted on 14.2.03 1706.09 | I LOVE the idea of him being a guy in the crowd and then kicking some heel's ass with one leg. Ouch though...that heel is gonna have a hard time getting some credibility back.
I'm sorry, I have respect for people with one leg and all...but it totally destroys the credibility of the business if a kid with one leg, who wouldn't even be intimidating if he had the other, can come in and beat ANYBODY.
My bet is that WWE signed him just because TNA was getting a buzz, and they have no plans to use him seriously at all. I would actually be surprised if we saw him on TV. I think this was just a way to kill some TNA press.
