They finally, after years of suggestions, shot a big angle at a house show for TV. After Eddy Guerrero kept his title in his home town of El Paso over JBL, he got in the ring, talked about how proud he was to be from El Paso and to come home as WWE champion. He brought his wife and daughters into the ring and gave his wife some flowers. He then said since it's close to Mother's Day, he brought his mother to the ring and gave her flowers. JBL broke up the celebration by nailing Eddy with a clothesline. He then grabbed Eddy's mother and did what was described as the old Vulcan pinch. Eddy was down and the family was freaking out. Officials came from the back to make the save. JBL grabbed the title belt while Eddy's mother was carried out on a stretcher with an oxygen mask. This will air on Smackdown on Thursday night.

This past Sunday at a WWE event in El Paso, Texas, Eddie Guerrero's mother was struck down with a heart attack during an incident that occurred in the ring. Be sure to watch SmackDown! for more information as this story continues to develop.
Last week on SmackDown!, Mr. Angle made his return as SmackDown! GM and announced that his career as a wrestler was over. However, his impact on SmackDown! has not changed and this week will be proof, according to Angle. He said he will have the last laugh after last week’s happenings, and there will be several matches that Angle has set up so he can have that last laugh.
In tag team action, Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam will meet the Dudley Boyz. This match was made by Mr. Angle after RVD attempted to save Guerrero from a Dudley attack last week. Angle said that somebody is going to pay … will it be RVD and the WWE Champion? What state of mind will Guerrero be in? Find out on SmackDown!
The Undertaker will also be in action by order of Mr. Angle.
In other action, it will be Chavo Guerrero vs. “The World.” After his victory over Nunzio last week, the Cruiserweight Champion declared that he was “getting bored” because he had defeated all of the cruiserweight competition. He issued an open challenge to any cruiserweight he has not yet faced, and that opponent could be from anywhere in the world. Find out on SmackDown! who Guerrero’s next opponent will be.
The road to Judgment Day continues on SmackDown! Will Angle have the last laugh after a disastrous week last week? Who will the Undertaker’s opponent be? Who will challenge Chavo Guerrero? Only one way to find out … watch SmackDown! at 8/7 PM CT on UPN.

Because a kayfabed heart attack worked SO well when WCW tried it.
And wow, they're really REALLY trying with Bradshaw, aren't they? I mean, seriously. Eddie Guerrero's MOTHER? What's next? He tries to have his kids deported?
The really sad thing is, for as many cheap heat tactics as they try (and using Eddie Guerrero's mom in a heart attack angle is the epitome of cheap heat), it still doesn't erase the fact that it's BRADSHAW main eventing a PPV!
It's like a big-budgeted Hollywood blockbuster, where studios invest billions of dollars into special effects and big name actors, that ends up tanking in the box office because, ultimately, the script and execution were worth jack. No matter how much WWE tries to dress up this angle with a fresh gimmick, PSA announcements, and cheap heat tactics up the yin yang, it doesn't erase the fact the PPV will tank because it's being sold on the basis of Bradshaw wrestling in a 15-minute main event.
While Mama Guerrero would've been uber hardcore for agreeing to it, I was reading this post at first having expected her to have taken a Bradshaw powerbomb or Clothesline From Wall Street.
Still, she's a hell of a sport to entrust her well-being to Bradshaw.
There is a joke in here somewhere about Bradshaw "initiating" Eddie's mom into the business, but, I'm not going to be the one to make it.

Does anyone else think Eddie must be back on the drugs for allowing his mother anywhere near the stiffest hoss the WWE has to offer?! Why don't they just book Mrs G in a handicap against Holly and Bubba Ray Dudley.....WTF?
Seriously, this has to be the cheapest, nastiest bullshit to come out of the WWE since when? Undertaker and Steph? As someone said earlier, the only good thing to come out of this is that it was done at a house show.
And tomorrow night on SmackDown!, ladies and gentlemen, Bradshaw wins the WWE Tag Team Title despite the fact that his partner turned on him halfway through the match.
The following week, he introduces his new tag-team partner, Mrs. Guerrero.
In a few months, Mrs. Guerrero will be involved in a forklift match.

He used some nerve pinch, it's not like he clotheslined her. This isn't even the cheapest nastiest bullshit they've done in a month.

I'm also gonna pass on joking about her being punished for shooting on a jobber who didn't want to job in his hometown.

Hello, I haven't posted here in a while and just want to say I'm happy to be back, even though I'm a nobody.
Regarding this angle, it's a bad idea. Cheap heat. I still like Bradshaw's character, just don't think he was ready yet for this kinda push, although with his stuff outside of the WWEEEEE it's not a BAD idea, but I don't see him working out in the long run unless he can really get his gimmick down pat.
Here my fanstasy booking of the week: I'd rather they have Bradshaw bring back the LWO in some whacky form since Mexicans will work for free in his world, bring in some AAA talent to take out Eddy in a gauntlet match, with the exception of Paul London who was under the mask of El Gran a few weeks ago, and use Bradshaw to elevate London, who is also Mexican, or half Mexican, as reported by Meltzer in his newsletter this week.

The show was definitely hit or miss tonight. That Triple H match killed the crowd. They made up for it with that awesome Goldberg segment though. The crowd was eating it right up.
